“My wife and I selected Michael Nash from among five separate bids for a considerable renovation and expansion of our home. Michael Nash was the second lowest bidder, but our confidence in Sonny Nazemin’s eye for design and considerable number of award-winning designs was crucial in our initial selection. We have a grand house in Reston built in the late 1960s. It has solid bones but really needed a whole house renovation. We also needed more space to house our extended family. Our project consisted of a new two-car garage, siding, roofing and a totally new floor consisting of a master suite and bathroom. From the start of the project I was impressed with the one price upfront to complete the project. Sonny navigated our plans through the difficult process of approval by our local Design Review Board. His personal attention and negotiation with the board led to the rapid approval of our project. Follow on work for our front porch and driveway was reasonably priced. When we requested a re-design of the ceilings for the master suite, Sonny spared no expense hiring several architects to arrive at the design we desired. His vision throughout the project ensured its success. ******************* EXTRA FOLLOW-ON WORK COMPLETED jANUARY 25, 2014 *********************** We gave Michael Nash extra follow-on work with our kitchen because we were so pleased with how our Master Suite and other work turned out. We told Sonny that we had a limited budget but wanted to get as much of the kitchen done as possible. He suggested that we keep our old cabinets and redo everything else. Sonny has a great eye for design and suggested that we take out some cabinets to open up the room. He helped us with color choices that made the kitchen modern and bright. They replaced the oven, the hood, the induction cooktop, the counter, the floor, the sink, repaired and replaced doors, painted the room and put in a new lighting system with ten canned lights. Michael Nash kept to a timetable except for the hood at the end, which was really unavoidable. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and recommend Michael Nash to our neighbors and friends.”

I interviewed several home improvement companies in the northern Virginia area; none matched the knowledge of product information and costs of construction for completely renovating my kitchen. Architectural renditions were exact to specifications;no last-minute changes had to be made. “James and Taeo Kwon Builders built a beautiful rear entrance with a mudroom closet, bathroom with shower and closet along with a covered patio. They finished on time and on budget despite numerous design changes along the way. They were flexible and accommodating. Their workmanship is superb. They use PVC boards for trim and Hardie cement siding that never has to be painted and will never rot. The tile in the bathroom and floors was laid precisely. They included extras such as a decorative niche and small closet for cleaning supplies in the bathroom and amazingly attractive finishing touches on the covered patio post.”

“This husband and wife team were able to bring to life a powder room I had envisioned but couldn’t make happen. I had seen a sink and pedestal on Houzz and Pinterest that I loved but couldn’t find in the states. They were able to duplicate the design at a reasonable cost and pull together the rest of the bathroom for a complete look. Their communication skills are top notch, their employees were there when they said they’d be there, always neat and cleaning up as they went along.”

Pascual and Andrea are a joy to work with. They are very hard working, detail oriented, and are always available for any questions. “My husband and I hired Virginia Kitchen and Bath for our kitchen remodeling project after a long search for a reliable company. We did not hesitate to go with them after going over the details. We started off by calling them to get an estimate. Their schedule was pretty busy (which is a good thing!) but managed to find us a perfect date and time. The designer that came out was very knowledgeable and nice. He was kind enough to propose his ideas while encouraging us with our own. He took some measurements and left. We received our estimate via email couple days after the initial meeting with a kind invitation to go to their showroom for selection making. The proposal seemed to fit our plan so we went by with great excitement. They have a very nice designed showroom with a wide range of tiles, granite, cabinets and etc. to choose from. They were very professional. They took a note of every selection we made. We finally sat down to go over our design and the contract. We didn't hesitate to sign and to give deposit. We were given a project start date not too far from signing of the contract. The date of the construction, the crew and the project manager came at the time they promised. Project manager went over the changes with everyone. This made us feel extremely happy and comfortable! The crew started off by covering areas in the house for protection. They were very respectful of our property and belongings. They came and left at the same time every day. Project manager constantly stopped by whenever he could to check the progress on the site. We were able to contact our designer whenever we wanted to during their operating business hours. Construction debris was picked up everyday as well. Project went pretty smooth overall and they were able to finish a day before they told us. They work on schedule and are very professional. We are extremely satisfied with the total outcome. Everything turned out to be much better than what we had expected. It was worth to spend every penny (even my husband thinks so). We gladly recommened VKB and Kemal (our designer) to everyone.
