“We hired Alderwood Landscape to redesign and relandscape our yard, take out our concrete driveway and install a paver driveway. Our project was a big undertaking and there were hicups, but the crew was great at troubleshooting and working with us. “After researching local landscape designers, we hired Studio 342 to develop a landscape design for our newly constructed home. We were incredibly happy with the results. As ambitious do-it-yourselfers with lots of energy and ideas, we had absolutely no idea of how to bring all those ideas together into a cohesive, contemporary design that would fit our lifestyle and dreams for the perfect outdoor space. After interviewing a few landscape designers, we met with and hired Studio 342 to develop a base plan, master design plan, planting plan and construction details that provided all of the information we needed to implement the project ourselves. The project was ambitious, including: re-grading plan for the front and side yard to allow for installation of grasspave2 to create a hidden driveway and parking area for our 28’ Airstream trailer; raised garden and picnic table area; an outdoor dining area; an outdoor gas fire pit area; an outdoor kitchen design for the existing patio; a full lighting plan; a new path system to tie it all together; integration of concrete and steel elements to meet our design aesthetic; and colorful and low maintenance plants. It’s now a year later and we’ve complete the majority of the project. We love our outdoor space and we could not be any happier with the overall design. Studio 342 did an amazing job of listening and creating a final design that was perfectly aligned with our goals and tastes. They were reliable on their budget and timeline. They produced clear, detailed designs that were easy to follow and implement. And, they provided outstanding support whenever we needed extra help along the way.”

“Tan, the owner of Westland Design Ltd, is wonderful. He listened and really understood our need. Me dad has alzheimer's and had started wandering. Now with our beautiful enclosed and gated courtyard, he is safe and we are happy. My elderly parents sit and admire the open and interesting space for hours and the birdies come and bathe in our little water feature. If dad were to wake up confused in the night he can sit in his softly illuminated garden and find peace and tranquility. Tan and Doug and Lucas worked so hard to create a work of art for us, we are completely pleased and grateful. I now feel a deep friendship for Tan and hope he and his team and family will always be a part of ours. Which is another fact in his favour, he took me around to many different project sites and all the home owners I met were so pleased with their projects, even after many years. “My husband and I bought a home prior to completion and were given the opportunity to completely design the yard from beginning phase– in essence a blank, dirt canvass. We hired Melissa Baron to design a landscape for our property that would complement and enhance the extensive renovation on our mid-century home, moving it towards a more modern feel. Melissa was very easy to work with from the beginning. She brought great ideas but also listened to our wants and needs for the project and was able to really define and create a vision for the space. Melissa was professional and responsive throughout. She acted as not only the designer but also as project manager. There were various elements, subcontractors and tradesmen on site that Melissa was able to coordinate and liaise with. The planting process was very intricate and required much planning and careful consideration based on our desire to have something low maintenance, but also private. Melissa has an incredible knowledge of plants and the different environments that they should be placed in to allow for optimal growth. Our yard transformation was absolutely incredible. Melissa was able to conceptualize an amazing space for our family all while keeping things in-line with our budget and dealing with various time constraints.
