ZEP30FRSS Monogram Hearth Oven closed door issue. Installed over, door closed by itself and won’t open with any panel or app options. Tried a technician online, also instructions and nothing to be found on the particular issue on troubleshooting. For a high end oven it’s expensive e a very frustrating experience.

I would like to give a better review on this oven but unfortunately mine arrived broken.
It all started exactly 1 month ago when Monogram graciously helped me purchase this oven because they had stopped making parts to fix the touch screen on my 8 year old Monogram oven. I was given a smoking hot price on the new oven to include delivery, installation, clean up and haul away of the old oven. It seemed too good to be true. Guess what…
I am sitting writing this review with a new broken oven installed (by an installer I had to find) and my old oven sitting in my driveway 1 moth later.
First I was given a 7-10 day turn around to have the new oven installed. Ordered June 3rd. The delivery company (Forward Air) called and scheduled the installation for June 9th. However when they arrived I was informed that they would not install. Only deliver, so they dropped off the oven in its box in my garage. Where it sat. I called Monogram, Install rescheduled for Friday the 11th, when they never showed up I called Monogram. Apologies, rescheduled for the 16th. They actually showed up on the 16th but pulled my old oven out stated they would not install because of how it was wired (wiring is to code and brand new in 2013). The installer refused to even take the old still broken oven so now I have a half installed oven in the kitchen, a brand new oven taking up room in my garage, and 3 waisted days waiting for installations that never happened.
At this point monogram tells me to have it installed on my own and they will reimburse $200.
This I was able to accomplish in 1 hour. Installer is at my house old oven goes out to the driveway for Forward Air to come pick up (remember they were paid to haul away old oven). When the installer cuts open the box that is in my garage it is discovered that the oven had been dropped! Hoping for the best we go ahead with installation only to discover that the screen is broken.
So now I call Monogram again and am told that because I have had the oven for more than 48 hours (from delivery) it will go in as a repair. After an hour on the phone with Monogram they agree that a new oven will be delivered and installed by a different company this time. Same 7-10 day time frame applies so now on June 17th I am back to the beginning doing it all over again a second chance for Monogram to get it right. Minus the old oven still sitting in my driveway.
Now on July 3rd one month from the start of this nothing has happened. From June 17th to now there have been 4 scheduled pickups for the old broken oven sitting in my driveway. It is still there this morning. Along with my nice new broken oven installed in the kitchen.
It has been 16 days since the new 7-10 day delivery clock started. And Monogram is still failing to live up to what was promised and paid for.
As a side note the company who wouldn’t install or haul away is in charge of delivering my newest oven to the new installation company.

We bought a GE Monogram complete kitchen that cost well over $25k in November of 2020. The refrigerator and dishwasher have not functioned properly since the install. The refrigerator will not make ice and the water line keeps freezing. The ice maker has been replaced three times and the part in the dishwasher now three times as well. It’s now 1/23/21 and neither items are still functioning properly and multiple parts have been replaced by the technician which all have failed within an hour of them being installed. The so called Monogram escalation department has been horrible to deal with as well as a supervisor by the name of Andrew. We were informed that they will continue to send technician out to fix the issue, which 4 different technicians have not been able to do. All we have wanted is to switch the two items out for the same product, that works! NO! They will not do that and the supervisor Andrew actually said that the mail function of the refrigerator is to keep your food cool, not the ice makers. We have bought a $130 ice maker off of Amazon that out performs our $10k refrigerator. I will not ever own another GE appliance in my life. I will let all my friends and family members no not to ever purchase a GE product! This will be going to my local news channel as well here in AZ letting them know the lack of support GE gives you and how horrible their appliances are. Hopefully thousands of people will see this in the news and read this article. GE is a joke!

Monogram appliances provide a high end look at a more reasonable price point. However, we have had a number of headaches with ours. The biggest issue has been that they local dealer botched the flush inset installation of our paneled built-in 48" refrigerator. Nearly a year later and it is still not fixed. GE has so far left everything to the local retailer who has utterly failed costing us a lot of time and rework $$.
In addition, our Speed Oven did nothing by microwave and broil on arrival. The entire oven capability was inoperable. Warranty repairs got it working, but such a hassle.

I am BEYOND frustrated!!!! I spent over $15 thousand dollars on Monogram Appliances through Best Buy in NOVEMBER 2019 and they STILL have not gotten me my appliances. GE/Monogram keeps pushing the date on delivery now to possibly MARCH of 2020. I feel as though I’ve been robbed. I purposely bought luxury appliances and were told these items were being made specifically for me and come to find out they have given them to someone else and I’m STILL WAITING for the new models, which I had CUSTOM cabinetry designed and installed since DECEMBER to fit these appliances. Horrible customer service since there has been zero action on Monogram side and they have even told me there is product sitting in the Atlanta DC. WHAT THE F. This is fraud and I was so excited to get these only to be completely stressed out and frustrated as I am still waiting on these appliances. Can someone who can actually help intervene! This is ridiculous. Showing pictures of what could be a beautiful kitchen if I had my freaking APPLIANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We bought a GE Monogram under-counter refrigerator three years ago. The door guide failed. The part is no longer available. HOWEVER, the new unit has the exact same part with the same part number. So if you buy a new Monogram, the part is no longer available to fix it. As I searched, I noticed many other parts were No Longer Available.
DO NOT BUY MONOGRAM OR GE!
PS: Their "solution" was for us to buy a new unit at a discounted price. This means every time something breaks, you will need to remove you unit, dispose of it somehow, buy a new one, pay to have it installed. If the new one breaks - repeat the process.

We sincerely apologize for your experience. Would you mind emailing us at eresponse@ge.com so we can research this situation? Thank you.
We bought our home about 5 yrs ago and we had all SS monogram appliances. They worked well and we have been generally happy with them. But I'm starting to feel that their Customer Care is really sub standard and definitely not even close to the brand that I used to associate GE Monogram with.
I had a major issue with our refrigerator - which I wont outline in this post but want to share a current situation I'm in.
Our Dishwasher started to have issues with the control panel not being responsive and after a GE tech visited he suggested that since the unit was over 7 yrs old, and replacing the pieces may not be worth it, that it may be cheaper and get new warranty to go for a new one. It did make sense so we decided to get a new one. We worked with their customer care person who help find a replacement for our unit and we bought it and was scheduled to be delivered within a few days.
All of was good till then. What has transpired since then has been really frustrating.
Firstly, the guys who come to install our dishwasher end up doing a extremely poor job.
a) The under plate was really loose and didn't seem properly fixed
b) there was some insulation that was sticking out - visible from the front
c) they had so much hand stains that the unit actullly looked like a used one not a brand new one - this was a stainless steel finish - so really looked bad.
d) In the process of fixing the vent next to the sink they didn't install the washer seal properly and it led to a bunch of water leaking from all the water that gets splashed around from the sink - to the space under the sink :(.
We complained about the leak and a supervisor came by and actually said - they have done a very poor job :(. Unfortunately they are still to come back and fix this leak :( - over a week now.
Well that was just one part of the issue - the bigger and more frustrating thing for us now is the fact that this dish washer - a top of the line monogram product - just does NOT dry our dishes fully. We have tried all settings including one that takes 4 hours :( - and our dishes are not fully dry. We end up spending almost 30 mins each morning wtih a kitchen towel wiping everything before we can put them away. That is 30 precious mins every AM - and you will know what I mean if you have 2 school going kids :(.
I spoke with the "Monogram Preferred" customer care person and they sent out a tech who plugged in his computer and said he needed to do some tweaks and everything should be fine. He did warn me that any plastic items will need to be wiped - and I accepted that as a compromise in the spirit of higher efficiency that this dishwasher claims. Unfortunately even after this - our dishes are not getting dried.
I spoke to "Monogram Preferred" again and explained that I need my dishes dry and the 3 things I'm asking for are:
a) standing glass / china dishes are dry (no streaks / stains of water that need to be wiped)
b) silver ware in the rack is dry and should NOT need wiping
c) glass cups / bowls are dry and should not need wiping
So the "monogram preferred" person now says they will send out another tech but tells me that we may NOT find anything wrong and wont be able to do anything as there may not be anything to fix. She says that our warranty was "Repair only" and if there is nothing to repair - she really can't help.
BTW I also was told very casually that "drying has been reported as a problem by some of the customers" - which they never bothered to tell us when we were buying it.
So now after more than a thousand dollars in expense I'm being told that I've got to give up my 30 mins every morning and wipe everything up - this is just ridiculous and frustrating. Definitely NOT what I'd expect from GE Monogram. Absolutely frustrating :(

We are so sorry for your experience. Would you mind emailing us at eresponse@ge.com so we can look into this for you? Thank you.
I recently renovated my home that was significantly damaged on super storm Sandy. My husband told me I could purchase any appliances that would make me happy. The experience of loosing my home was emotional. Unfortunately I really had to make some quick decisions. I only wish I had more time to research the appliances. I selected what I thought was a top of the line American made GE monogram package. I can not begin to tell you the amount of problems we have experienced with the double oven. Run away if you are considering buying one. The customer service has been HORRIFIC. The oven can't keep a consistent temperature. It runs very high. It has been calibrated by GE a few times. They have replaced the computer board and all sensors but it still doesn't function properly. Initially they blamed my recipes and suggested I might want to experiment with a lower temperature. They even suggested it was my baking pans. Ok I will buy new pans. Nope not the issue. Nothing worked. I photographed the burning items, took pictures of the digital oven temp and the liquid thermometer I placed in the oven to show how off it was. Per monogram customer service it can be up to 50 degrees off before the classify it as not functioning. My is around 45% initially and climbs higher when food is put in the oven. Clearly those folks have never baked before. Last technician assured me he would document what was happening ( including when we put rolls on the oven whole he was there and once in the oven the temperature inside actually got hotter. The store bought rolls, not my recipe this time burned in 8 minutes). Clearly he didn't document what he told me . GE monogram called me back and said the oven is functioning normally and there was nothing more they could do. I pushed and they said maybe they could replace it but I would have to pay the difference in the price of a new oven. Crazy I have been reporting this problem way before the 1 year was up and I felt they should make good on the appliance at no cost to me. I asked for the GE CEO / President name so I could share my experience and ask them to review my file. The service rep told me he could NOT give me that info and I should try Google. I asked for his employee ID and included it with my complaint. I think they should replace the oven and maybe talk with their employees about the companies cite values . Clearly honesty and integrity are not highly valued at GE.

I have had such great experiences with Monogram products over the years. I first bought a Monogram refrigerator ten years ago when I remodeled my kitchen and it was fantastic. Looked great and never gave me a bit of problems. I bought a remodeled home a couple of years ago and it had a Thermador dishwasher in there which was a total piece of junk. I replaced it with a Monogram dishwasher and that product was fantastic as well. Now I'm beginning the design phase of a new home and I am budgeting for all the appliances to be Monogram. I'm especially looking forward to having a 48" dual-fuel range with a griddle!
