“Sockeye Homes did a wonderful job on our kitchen remodel. From start to finish, it was a fairly painless process. We had our cabinets and countertops replaced, along with lighting, appliances, sinks and hardware, gas fireplace, and the floor refinished. A lot of moving parts going on and naturally there were some delays but overall the job was finished on time. But what really stood out to me was the following: 1. Good communication with us from start to finish (schedule, costs). We knew what to expect and if there was a problem, presented it to us and worked with us to find an acceptable solution. 2. All of the people from management to workers seem to take the time to provide good customer service. You get the sense that this is the mantra from ownership on down. Customer comes first. 3. Tried to minimize the disruptions for us and always cleaned up the job site at the end of day. 4. Insured the subcontractors work met their standards. Oversaw their work. We are happy with the work done and would consider future work with them (bathroom remodel) and would be happy to recommend them to family and friends. Here is a picture of our kitchen. “Lane Williams’ team designed our dream vacation house on Monterey Peninsula in California. We had an unconventional vision to build a compound: a group of structures that fit perfectly together on the most beautiful site, disconnected physically but united aesthetically providing opportunities to spend time together yet allowing for privacy. Lane's execution met all these challenges. The structures for sleeping with their thought-out proportions and orientation are located perfectly on site creating a beautiful outdoor courtyard - a perfect place to congregate. All the pathways lead to the main "living" house with ample spaces for dining, playing, watching, talking - enjoying each other’s company early in the morning or late into the night. It is a perfect place for us to be at on our own or host a large party of family and friends where everyone has a space to retreat for privacy or a bit of quiet time. Lane was instrumental in working with the builder throughout the construction which took place during COVID. The most detailed meticulous plans and ongoing communication left nothing for guess-work – most remarkable “remote” construction management. The result is absolutely flawless. We have been enjoying this retreat for over a year now hosting a number of gatherings large and small. It is a happy place for us and our family and friends, a place that provides unique opportunity for one to step aside and be “one with nature” and then return to the boisterous fun.”
