The Barone Residence reimagines a 1960s Florida ranch home through a comprehensive renovation and thoughtfully integrated addition. The design modernizes the home's exterior while respecting its original ranch character, introducing a more contemporary architectural expression that feels like a natural evolution of the existing residence. Inside, the traditional floor plan is reorganized to create a more open, connected approach to modern living. A new primary suite expands the private living areas, while redesigned interior spaces improve flow between the kitchen, dining, and family spaces. An outdoor kitchen further extends everyday living into the home's exterior spaces. From concept through construction documentation, Luxaforma Architecture + Design coordinated the integration of new and existing construction, modernization of building systems, and remediation of previously unpermitted work. The result gives new life to a mid-century Florida home while preserving the qualities that make the ranch typology enduring—a contemporary transformation rooted in the character of the original house.
