“It was an absolute pleasure to work with Clawson Architects on our full-home renovation. We came to our first meeting with three goals for the project: a second floor addition, plenty of natural light and a design which relates to and elevates the existing neighborhood. From that moment to the final completion, Marvin and the team were fully committed to working with us to understand what that meant and how it could be achieved within our budget. The whole process felt like a true collaboration and resulted in a home which fulfils everything we were hoping to get from it. It's been amazing to see the way the light flooding into the house changes as we start to shift seasons and how the flow through the house has been refined to suit our own personal needs. The design itself has the exact balance of mid century and contemporary which we were hoping to achieve. We've received numerous lovely comments from our neighbours and noticed how almost everyone who passes by cranes their neck to take in the building - I think we've really made something special which doesn't just make us happy but is really putting something back into area. Friends, family and colleagues have asked us about the renovation process, expecting us to have all these crazy stories about how hard and stressful it was. But in truth, although there were certainly bumps in the road, we have actively and thoroughly enjoyed the project from start to end. We put that down to the amazing teams of people we were able to work with.”

“Kimberly Peck was an outstanding architect to work with and my wife and I couldn’t recommend her more. She’s so talented and so calm and relaxed in her approach. A very welcoming energy when you’re about to embark on a chaotic experience of tearing your home apart. We couldn’t be happier with the final outcome of our space. Anyone who has gone through the process of renovating knows that it’s a very challenging experience. There is so much detail that you hope you don’t miss so it requires a great deal of hand holding for inexperienced folks like us who would naturally miss so much of what is essential in creating a structurally sound, up to code and aesthetically appealing environment that one could eventually call home. And boy did Kim stick with us the whole way through. Now, that might sound surprising but believe it or not after the design and planning aspect and after the GC gets involved, an Architect usually moves on to other projects and may only come by once in a while to make sure design elements are being properly implemented. But given some unforeseen circumstances Kim went above and beyond how involved she was with our project. It’s fair to say that there was a chunk of time where she was there almost every single day. That is incredibly rare. Kim and Frank, her GC, worked their hearts out and were so committed in making sure that we were not only satisfied with the results but if there was anything that didn’t turn out the way we had pictured they would make concentrated effort to make it look better than what we imagined. It's now been 4 months since our project has finished and she’ll still answer questions and stay engaged with us if we need her. The same with GC Frank. But wow, she truly nailed our home. There hasn’t been one person who has walked in here and wasn’t taken back by how beautiful this space has become. The ideas she presented not only maximized our space but created such a beautiful flow and function through the layout. She transformed this home to the sanctuary that my wife and I had envisioned. Also, Kim is very transparent and honest and does her due diligence the entire way through. She was not only clear on what was or was not possible but she always looked for a better solution. We have nothing but great things to say about her but to finish I will say, she is very reasonably priced. We interviewed a dozen architects and the majority of them throughout numbers we just could not justify. After speaking with Kim we realized why those numbers didn’t feel right. Its an absolute no brainer. Would work with her again. Trust us. Hire her. You will not be disappointed.”

“GMH designed and renovated two SoHo lofts for me in a historic building, with extraordinary finishes and in record time. I used one space for my office and one for a residence. In the living loft, GMH created an open plan, with attention to sight lines, the incorporation of special glass, marble finishes, patterns of stone in the bathrooms that look like works of art, imaginative wrapping of the columns in mosaic--these are the design elements and finishes that make an apartment unique and special (and expensive looking!) As a real estate attorney, I have represented owners in SoHo for over 35 years and I have seen many cookie cutter lofts, with the usual white walls, dark floors, subway tiles, ho-hum fixtures. They all look alike until you see the style and character that GMH bring to a project. Even in my office loft, the use of specialty glass walls, European lighting, soft teal/grey carpeting and custom millwork all create an ambiance of elegant utility. What was equally impressive is that office the build-out took 10 weeks, soup to nuts. On time, on budget. No one accomplishes such a feat in New York City! I bet the owner of this firm that he couldn't do it in this time frame and I lost. I have referred many other clients and have never heard a complaint. Each has received the care and attention to detail that seems to be the trademark of GMH.”
