“Chad designed my house to fit the site, resulting in a structure which appears to have risen from the surrounding prairie. My wish was for a small (by current standards) house of 1700 sf, which I have discovered is still more than I really need, thanks to Chad's ability to design an exquisitely simple floor plan that charms one's senses by continually revealing wonderful views; either of nature or an exceptional architectural element. Feng shui principles used in the design contribute to a feeling of peace and harmony. A pivoting bookshelf in lieu of a door provides privacy in the office when necessary. Pivoting doors in other areas allow the ceiling to flow, uninterrupted by traditional doorway framing. These features typify Cantilever's philosophy of creating beautiful and functional spaces. Cantilever's expertise is also evident in the renovation/remodel projects they have completed.”

“We had out/back design group do a couple of projects on our late 1980's home. The first was designing an "outback" screen porch. Marc Brummel had ideas about using the topography of our lot in ways that others had not suggested. The result is a very function and cool looking multi-level, free-standing deck/screen house. We love it and spend a lot of our summer evenings there. The other project was to completely resurface our home's exterior. Marc came up with a plan that took advantage of the hillside exposure and enhanced the horizontal lines of our home. Using three distinct bands and detailing the treatments around the windows and under the eaves completely transformed the appearance of our home. The street appeal is fantastic. I love driving up to it.”

“We have have hired Dayton for at least 3 projects in our early 1960's home when we were planning to remodel both outside and inside. He is very easy to work with and has great ideas. We like to tell him what we want to put together and he helps us work out the details so everything flows well and the project looks like a beautiful part of the original house (or a perfectly thought out extension of the original home). We could never have foreseen all of the issues without Dayton and he really helped us make sure we did not make expensive mistakes. His drawings help you picture exactly what will be done. Love him!!!! He usually designs new homes but he's been great for remodeling with us.”
