Studio 810 Design/Build
Lorane, PA Architects and Building Designers
May 21, 2013
We are writing to wholeheartedly recommend Timothy (Tim) Strosser of Studio 810 Design as a designer and general contractor for home improvement. In 2012, we met Tim at the Philadelphia Home Show, and were impressed by Tim’s portfolio of previous designs and building projects. On his first visit to our home in the Philadelphia suburbs Tim impressed us again with his instant understanding of our home improvement needs. We wanted to build a new bathroom in a little-used space that was attached to our master bedroom, but Tim suggested a much better solution; building an addition to the house’s second floor, and placing the bathroom in it. This way we got a fabulously looking new master bathroom that is an envy of our friends and neighbors, and avoided a mistake of building a bathroom that would be to small and not convenient. Timothy also designed and built for us a mudroom in front of our house, completely redesigned and rebuilt our patio, and changed the siding all around the house. We are very satisfied with the quality of his design and workmanship of his crew. Tim is a very experienced project manager, and he worked hard to accommodate our specific requirements during the project and to adjust all the logistics accordingly. He was able to keep the project deadlines despite very unfavorable weather conditions, the climax of which was Hurricane Sandy. During the project we occasionally changed our mind regarding some details (e.g., selection of tiles), and Tim was always ready to either accept our new ideas or, when they were not practical, offer very good alternatives. During the project we developed a trusting, friendly relationship with Timothy and many of his crew members. We were so satisfied with our collaboration with Tim that, after the first big project was completed, we tasked him with a couple of smaller projects in our house (e.g., staircase renovation), and outside (landscaping). We are sure that, with his great artistic taste, his extensive technical experience, and his understanding of individual clients’ characters and preferences, Timothy can exceed expectations of the most demanding clients. We already recommended the services of Studio 810 to our neighbors, and we recommend them to you.

Archer and Buchanan drew up the architectural plans to renovate and build an extension to a Pennsylvania farmhouse. They collaborated throughout the project with the builders. They offered expertise in maintaining historic features whilst modernizing the property. The outcome was just what we wanted. It was a great experience.

Joe Mackin and his firm designed us the most beautiful new house. He designed an 1800's style, stone farm house look that is amazing. The attention to detail is incredible. People have been to the house and can't decide if it's just an old house that was added on to, or a new house. We have worked with a handful of architects over the years, and Joe, by far, has been the BEST. We also did not use a builder, my husband an were the general contractors of the house, which is approximately 7,000 sq. feet.

Abby and her team is top notch. Very creative, and easy to work with. This was the second time we chose them, and couldn't be happier. They listen to the client, and make very thoughtful recommendations. The final drawings were complete, and will make construction easier for the contractors.

Contacted Joshua about a home project and while architecture work was not necessary, instead of telling me he just couldn't help me, he spent a good amount of time over the phone providing recommendations for the type of companies that may be able to assist. As a result, when the need arises for work that Joshua may be able to assist with, I will certainly be contacting him in the future.

I first worked with Ed when he was chosen to renovate my workplace. That was such a good experience that I asked him to design my new home. One of the many things I liked about working with him is that he was available to answer my questions from the beginning to the end of each project— unlike firms where you wind up working with junior staff after the initial meetings. Ed was also very perceptive, and quickly understood what made me tick. This led to insightful discussions about how I wanted to use the spaces, and also what would be important to me visually. With him, communicating thoughts and ideas that translated into design became so simple. My recent project demanded much use of Ed’s thoughtful listening skills and his ability to gracefully problem-solve. The result? Every time I enter my new home, I first breathe a sigh of relief –“I’m Home!”— and then happily go from room to room taking in all of the beauty. I do this every time…over a year after my home was completed. Go Ed!!!

We at Sterling Kitchen & Bath love being a preferred vendor with Gardner/Fox! We work well together to create beautiful dream kitchens (and baths!) for our clients. They pay attention to the client's wants and needs, and even the smallest detail is important! The end result is always beautiful when working with Gardner/Fox Associates, Inc!

Val Nehez and Kelly Ennis are extraordinarily talented. They have the capability to do everything from interior design to major structural changes. Thye work hard to understand the clients needs, including those the client may not realize they have. I've seen them take ordinary spaces and make them special: Goat Hollow restaurant in Philadelphia, a church-turned-office-building, a former parsonage, a Philadelphia row home. I've seen Val obsess (in a good way) over just the right shade of white and not settle until it was just-so. Highest recommendation. These women are outstanding. Check them out.

We have been fortunate enough to work with Wolstenholme Associates on many occasions and have referred them directly to our clients needing building design and architectural work as well. Each time, we hear the same results, and they are always outstanding, which is why Rutgers Landscape Design continues to refer Wolstenholme to our clients. We also look forward to working with them on any Wolstenholme Architectural Plans, as they are always exciting and interesting design projects.
