“I hired these full service architects to design and oversee an addition to my house. Having had a grandchild, we needed more than two bedrooms. Andrew Reck designed a wonderful-feeling space that fits totally with the style of my house, a renovated 50's modern structure that we had renovated in 1999. He managed to find a way to incorporate a new stairway and second floor, containing two bedrooms, a bath, and a deck, that seems to have been part of the original design. He was completely on deadline, was very responsive about any questions, and is a really nice, talented person to boot. I have definite opinions about design, and he was easy to work with, convincing me to change my ideas because he had good arguments for me to do so. He also incorporated several of my ideas into the design. The space is nearly complete, and we really look forward to using it. I am very glad to have had his conceptual and practical help in this project.”

“Nilsson Architects helped me to design major renovations to my two family home in Somerville. Richard Nilsson worked with me to create a "Universal design" for the base, two-level apartment with environments that are accessible to all people, regardless of age, disability or other factors. I am delighted with the accessible kitchen and bathrooms that we designed together, they are beautiful and perfectly useful.
In the second apartment of my Somerville two-family house, Richard helped me to design a very attractive two-level urban-style home. Our design including a modern kitchen, dining and living spaces in a open, light-filled floor plan with home office and a study / guest bedroom spaces, three full bedrooms two bathrooms including a master suite with and en-suite spa and walk-in dressing room. Both of our apartment designs are delightful and I am very happy with the results of our collaboration with Nilsson Architects!
