“Our home was built in the 1880s. We had lived here for more than 20 years. By raising four children, hosting many events and neighborhood gatherings, pets, and extended family living with us, the house and kitchen had served us well... and it showed. We had always dreamed of remodeling our kitchen and delayed it until we knew we could create just the style and look we wanted. For years we would plan and remember and tuck those ideas away for that special day. We explored many different builders and when we came across Make Her Mark, we felt their style and previous work aligned with our intentions and hopes. In meeting with them, there was an immediate connection and realization that their personalities and professionalism were a match also for us. They allowed us to share our vision and supported that. They offered their opinions and even preferences, but they never forced that upon us. They allowed us to lead, and when we could not or were hesitant, they would be there to respond with reassurance or with directions that ultimately led to a beautiful, beautiful kitchen. It is what we had hoped for all along. With any project of this magnitude, there are bumps and aggravations along the way. One of the best things about Make Her Mark is that we could express our anxieties and Todd and Tracy could hear it and we dealt with it and moved along. Another key part of why we are satisfied with the overall experience is that not only are Todd and Tracy kind people, but the collaborators they found to do the work were also kind and quite thoughtful. There were some moments of stepping on one another's toes and bumping against egos, but no permanent damage was done. This became a part of the story behind the finished product.”

“Chad had a very difficult job in designing a house for my husband and I. My husband is a senior construction manager and therefore very knowledgeable in the construction field. He and Chad could "talk shop" very easily. I on the other hand don't know the first thing about building, design or construction. I also am not good at visualizing things that don't exist nor am I really even good at verbalizing what I like. So needless to say, Chad had his work cut out for him working with a couple with such diverse knowledge. Along with our knowledge differences, my husband and I also have very different tastes, mine more vintage and victorian and his more contemporary Chad did a great job of essentially explaining every part of the process in two different languages to two very different people (my husband and I) at a level that was appropriate for both/each of us. To help understand my taste and preferences (since I can't verbalize or explain well) he had me create a board on houzz and other social media sites so he could see what I liked. Using this and taking into my husbands taste and preference, he created our dream home. A house we both love. In addition to this, Chad has just been wonderful to work with in every way. He is talented yet humble, and incredibly easy to work with. I highly recommend Chad and fold and form to anyone looking for an architect/builder”
