My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

“To me, it's all about process. Joel and his crew started off with setting me up with an interior designer. She measured everything and talked with us about what we wanted. Then she sent us renderings of the finished Master Bath. Once we agreed on the design, she sent us to Ferguson's to pick out our fixtures. Then she sent us to Arizona Tile to pick out our countertops, flooring, shower walls etc. Once that was all done, Joel met with us and went over the costs of our fixtures, Tile etc, and labor. After we agreed that we had everything we wanted the contract was signed. The only time we went over the budget was because of change orders that we initiated, otherwise we did not exceed the contract. I can't give Usher Building & Design Inc any higher stars because the system won't let me!”

“Over the past 18 months or so, we’ve hired Sandra for several design projects and plan sets for our home in El Dorado County, including a complex addition with a new primary and bath in addition to a sizeable detached garage with staircase to overhead storage. For every project, she contributed creative ideas and thoughtful details we never would have imagined on our own. Her attention to detail was truly exceptional. The addition involved a full kitchen expansion, an amazing utility area (with even a dog bath!), a second primary suite and overall remodel of other areas, while adding over 1,200 sq ft to our current home . The way she designed and organized those spaces were both smart and beautiful. Sandra communicated clearly throughout the entire process and genuinely took the time to understand our priorities and how we live. We also trusted her to manage the permitting process with EDC, and everything was approved on the first submission with no revisions needed. We did not have to communicate with the planning department, she did all that. She provided excellent referrals for engineering, grading, and geo work, along with several contractors for bidding. She coordinated seamlessly with everyone involved, making the whole process much easier for us. We also had her work on things in addtion to the contracted projects which she did at an hourly add on rate we found reasonable. Sandra really took care of everything, and we’re thrilled with her designs, her plans, and the final outcome. Even better, we gained a friend along the way. She’s truly wonderful to work with. :)”
