“Click Architects did an absolutely wonderful job helping us design and implement our home renovation. Our project was extensive: We added a garage and an entryway onto our house, gutted and completely remodeled the kitchen, and turned our old garage into a dining room with a sitting area and mud room. We started by having Steve and Cheryl come to our house and assess the space, and then had an extensive conversation about what we wanted and the different ways to achieve it. Cheryl suggested I collect ideas of anything I liked – colors, lighting, materials, design, etc., to share with them as they got to know us and our preferences. They clearly explained the whole process and timeline for their work and their fees. Cheryl and Steve came up with two beautiful design plans to choose from, and then met with me to go through both plans. It was really fun at that point to look at both designs and imagine them with our current house. I was also able to share them with some family members to get their input. After settling on one of the designs, we worked for a few weeks to hone the design. Cheryl and Steve were very patient and understanding when we had questions or wanted to change something. They were also very helpful in explaining everything, and in suggesting we get a second estimate on the building cost from a builder they had had success working with previously. After we gave our final design to the builder and got the estimate back, Steve and Cheryl helped us figure out reasonable ways to cut some of the costs. Steve was a huge help with selecting materials and finding good prices on the materials. This saved me a lot of time, and I greatly appreciated his experienced, aesthetic input into material and color decisions. Our house has some unusual angles and windows, and the Clicks were able to incorporate this into their design so everything looked organic and natural with the addition. More than one neighbor stopped to tell me how natural and beautiful the addition looked. Inside, the Clicks suggested some custom cabinetry, lighting, and other features that all turned out to be amazing. Once our project started, Steve and Cheryl regularly answered any questions I had, met on-site to review the work being done, and communicated well with the builders. This helped the entire project go smoother. The project was slowed down a few times by supply-chain issues, and Steve would check in if he hadn’t heard from me for a while to make sure everything was still on track. Steve and Cheryl were extremely professional at all times with me and my husband and with the builders. The total building phase took 9 months. When our project was done, Steve and Cheryl came over with a lovely plant to go in my new kitchen! They were excited to see the finished project, and they also gave me a recommendation for someone to do landscaping. I highly recommend Click Architects!”
