“We were able to work with Gerhard at Mountain Works on the project he titles "Valley's Edge". In deciding on various features of our home, it was invaluable to have Gerhard incorporate the feature or change in his rendered drawings and actually be able to see what it looked like - to scale. One example was the height of the roof over our covered deck. Anyone can take a tape and show me how high it is, but what does it look like? How high is that in relation to how wide the deck is? Does it "feel" right? Another example is the length of the rake windows and the size of the round window. Rendered drawings showed 4 feet wasn't long enough and a 2 foot diameter round window was too small. Without Gerhard, we wouldn't have know that until the day they were installed. So many little things that you want to see before you spend a lot of money building them. This was perfect for that. And working with Gerhard was a pleasure. Maybe its because he's young and trying to make a name for himself, but I prefer to think he really is interested in helping people nail down their dream house. Always available. Never made us feel he was inconvenienced by "one more thing". Great experience, working with him. Gerhard was working for our builder, so we never received a bill directly for his services, but I am sure its less than the cost of having a window re-ordered and having the carpenters reframe that window 22 feet above the floor.”
