Scott Becker | Architect
Historic Building Conservation Companies in Lake Forest Park
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsApril 13, 2014
“I have collaborated with Scott on several projects and can assuredly recommend him as a fantastic architect to work with. As a client you want your architect to listen and understand your goals, to put his/her ego aside and design what is practical and esthetically relevant to you and your family, and most importantly support you through the entire experience with utmost professionalism, knowledge of the process and understanding of your budget. Scott delivers all that and more; he is experienced in a variety of styles, has creativity and skills coupled with the analytical sense to construct a solution that is not only visually stunning but delivers good cost/benefit balance over the future years maintaining the space. If you happen to review his work be it modern, traditional, or Nantucket beach-home style you will find a correlation among all of them - spaces he designs are elegant and classy without loud statements that transients through time and connects each home with their owners.”

Rhodes Architecture + Light

Average rating: 4 out of 5 starsOctober 10, 2013
“My wife and I have a difficult lot to build a house on due to its irregular slope, steep in some areas. In order to have a view of Puget Sound the main floor had to be as high as possible. Before hiring Rhodes Architecture + Light we met with a few builders who do their own design work. They were unable to come up with an acceptable way to achieve the floor height we need. This drove us to look for an architect. We selected Tim Rhodes because we liked his portfolio of completed projects and after meeting him felt we could trust him to do the job. Tim came up with a very clever design that incorporated all our requirements. We've been living in the house 14 months and are quite pleased. Tim's design gets many compliments from first time visitors. The only reason I didn't give Rhodes Architecture + Light five stars is cost estimation and control. Our construction cost ended up 40% above my desired target. To be fair this is common when building a house.”

“We LOVE working with Heidi at H2D A+D. Down to earth, super creative, and exceptionally organized. Having completed projects of all types and sizes we know first hand how important it is to have an effective leader guiding things from the beginning. Each time we work with Heidi the plans are thorough, clear, & easy to interpret… so that by the time we show up to perform our tasks, we are set up to do nothing but succeed. Each job has that enjoyable, team approach and energy. And who wins? Everybody! Thanks Heidi!”

“There's an unmistakable feeling to experiencing a building by Malboeuf Bowie. It is the subtle moves and thoughtful touches that make a difference. With them you get the full package: superior design sensitivity with experience in the trenches of residential construction. They consider every detail of how the building will be experienced inside and out. Rest assured that you are working with one of the most talented design teams in Seattle.”

“I hired Theresa Freeman to design my kitchen, bath, laundry and entry and to relocate my basement stairs. Theresa drew preliminary drawings for me and after I chose the general layout continued to work with me on the details. Even when I changed my mind she patiently adjusted the drawings. She met with me and three contractors she had recommended. (I could not be happier with the contractor I chose.) She seemed to share my vision for my project. She was responsive and sympathetic. She was also my advocate. I depended on her expertise quite a bit from general design to little details. She is sweet but knowledgeable and appropriately resolute. How many people can say that their remodel was a happy experience?! I can.”
Patricia Brennan Architects

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJune 14, 2015
“We have worked with Patricia Brennan Architects on 4 different projects of varying scale - from a kitchen/bathroom remodel to the transformation of a 4-story derelict warehouse into an AIA award winning building of artist live/work spaces. Each experience has left us with a deep appreciation for the work she does and how she does it. Patricia listens closely - she listens to the physical space of the project and she listens to the desires and needs of her clients. She engages in a collaborative dialogue at the outset of a project and continues the dialogue until the project is complete. She has an amazing sense of color, a wide range of knowledge about all kinds of materials (from lighting to flooring and everything in between) and she provides recommendations for high quality professionals and reliable contractors. She’s attentive to detail, to budget, to practical problem solving and to the aesthetics, flow and functionality of a space. Each project we’ve done with Patricia has exceeded our hopes and left us with living spaces we love to be in. We feel fortunate we were able to work with Patricia for the first time 22 years ago – after that initial experience we knew whenever we embarked upon another project she would be the only person we would call. Her work has added to our lives immeasurably.”

“Alev Seymen was our Project Manager, working for Castanes Architects, whom we chose for our new home design. During the development period, Alev provided us with many ideas and details of our design. Throughout the development and construction phase, she was sure to see that the design details were fully executed, always communicating her ideas and incorporating our ideas as well. Today after living in our home for several years, we are still in awe of the many details she designed and brought to us. Our home was recognized in Luxe magazine, Spring 2012 issue as well as Pacific NW magazine, May 12, 2013. Working with Alev was a pleasure and a wonderful experience. She is exceptional. Alev has an incredible eye for design and details and was outstanding to work with.”
Lane Williams Architects

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJanuary 26, 2013
“Lane Williams took our dated and very tired looking 1960’s one story, pitched roof home with a daylight basement and transformed it into a beautiful modern home with strong horizontal and vertical planes and cantilevered masses. Lane's vision for the house really came together when we decided to spend the money to expand the carport to two cars. We were thinking it might not work, but when he showed us the renderings we both just thought wow – it balanced everything out and got us a look that was spectacular. The finished house got great reactions from the neighbors, and it still thrills us when we overhear the bicyclists as they zip by saying ‘Cool House!’ http://coop15.com/images/house_shows/Enatai/Enatai2before.jpg http://coop15.com/images/house_shows/Enatai/Enatai3.jpg http://coop15.com/images/house_shows/Enatai/Enatai1.jpg”
