We initially brought Alan a sample plan we had drawn up, but realized that plan would cut off our view of the beautiful trees throughout the property, and (because I am a artist) I also needed to have an art studio built in somehow. A few weeks later, Alan showed us his idea—to angle the garage (instead of taking it straight back) which would completely open the view out back and create a unique vortex-shaped art studio space. All we could say was “WOW!” Now, everyone who sees and talks to us about our new house, compliments us on this unique and creative architectural feature.
