“The project was an exterior make-over including a conversion to stucco, new doors, roof and skylights, front entrance, painting, etc. Matthew Amann was on site everyday supervising subs and doing work himself, including long days and weekends. He is meticulously detail oriented, thoughtful in problem solving, and was amazingly patient through my laborious process of decision making. He has many talents, his favorite of which is probably woodworking, but he can do it all. His subs were all good - great, but he has set a high bar - to the benefit of the homeowner. One difficulty was a project deadline which was not communicated to the roofing sub and caused significant conflict and stress. The project also exceeded the bid price by 10% (fully detailed in a cost sheet) - rather typical for the construction business but unexpected for a not-to-exceed agreement. Besides these few bumps in the road, Matthew Amann was a pleasure to work with. He is a highly talented and skilled contractor who takes great pride in his work.
