“We retained Maxime Moreau from Open Form as architect for our project in 2014. Our project was to completely renovate our 100+ year-old residence including the addition of a curtain wall, which required significant structural work. This project was major as both the interior and exterior were stripped down and rebuilt. We were extremely pleased with Maxime Moreau's architectural work for our residence. He took the time to study the neighbourhood, understand our needs and get a good grasp of our design style. Maxime and his team made some initial proposals and worked with us to incorporate our proposed changes so we could submit the project to the municipality to get the required permits; in addition to the standard renovation permit, our project required the approval of an Urbanism Committee. Maxime was very efficient at working with the authorities to explain the project and get it approved (not always an easy task!). Once we started the project with the contractor, Maxime was always available to answer any questions, whether it was ours or the contractor’s, and make recommendations as we went through the typical discovery phase involved with stripping down an old house. In addition to listening to his clients Maxime is an experienced professional which takes away a lot of the stress clients can deal with when going through major projects.
