“We hired Brickmoon Design to draw plans for our small 1920 bungalow to add a 2nd bath and were hoping to get the washer/dryer into the house (from the garage). They came up with 2 main ideas, took dimensions and we had the survey done, but we have not made a decision on whether to 1) stay within our small 1350 sf footprint, or 2) add onto the house at a substantially higher cost. My husband doesn't want to spend the extra money to add on but I like the addition idea the best, so we have not gone any further. So far, we are out about $5,000 for plans and survey but are stalled. Brickmoon gave us exactly what we asked for, but I still think there has got to be a cost effective way to add an additional 200-300 square feet. Am I dreaming?”

“Lex has a high degree of knowledge with structural and engineering aspects of design, so important for integrity of the project but also greatly streamlined the print review and permitting process. Lex also offers an amazing level of architectural design and detail that create a unique and blended project with the existing home. One would be hard pressed to find an architect with Lex's level of expertise, knowledge of architectural elements, along with such an amiable and pleasant attitude. “Steven is drawing the second home for our family. We could not be more pleased with his work. He listens, incorporates what we want, and is very good about communicating with you through the process. I have lived in many homes in my life and my favorite by far is the one Steven drew for us. In fact we loved it so much, he is drawing a slightly modified version for us to build again that take into account the changes in our family. Highly recommend!”

“I have worked with Steve on multiple projects over the years in both New York and Nantucket MA. It is always a great experience working with him so I keep seeking him out for advice and assistance on whatever project I have. It started with an apartment renovation in NY based upon a recommendation from a seller who decided not to sell her apartment that I loved. He did a makeover on the apartment I later bought which had already been improved but not in my style. We added built-ins throughout, refinished floors, refaced cabinets, chose paint colors, and all furnishings in a style that felt uniquely my own. He had an excellent way of learning what I like and do not like and made the process for me very efficient because I almost always loved at least one of the options he presented to me for furnishings, curtains, carpets etc. Later we did a bathroom renovation which is a jewel box and very unique. A few years later he took a one day turn around trip with me to Nantucket to scope out my new beach house and came up with a very clever strategy for access to a second floor loft previously served by a ladder. This added tremendous utility to the space. He designed the new kitchen as well. He designed a brand new much expanded deck, and subsequently an outbuilding along the lines of a tiny house. I love working with Steve and hope to have more projects in future that we can work on together. Highly recommend!”

“We hired Ricardo to design our new house and were extraordinarily pleased with the floor plan he produced for our 2 acre lot. Our parameters included: a large open Greatroom/Kitchen/Breakfast area, Dining Room, Living Room, Office, Master Bedroom, and Bedroom #2 downstairs, and then upstairs Bedroom #3, Bedroom #4, and an Activity Room over the 3-car garage. Ricardo took great care to meet our room requirements while also superbly incorporating views of the back yard swimming pool area from the Greatroom, Breakfast nook, Living Room, and Master Bedroom windows. Additionally, he creatively designed a 2nd floor terrace exiting the Activity Room which took advantage of the long-distance western view. Clearly a man who loves his profession, Ricardo was a pleasure to work with. Throughout our association, he always displayed courtesy, high interest and energy toward us as customers. And thanks to his timely work, we'll pour the foundation "on-time" in September of 2013.”
