Hoopes+Associates, ArchitectsArchitects, Architectural DesignHoopes + Associates has gained the reputation as one of Santa Fe’s top architectural design studios and has been voted Best of Santa Fe in the architectural category for 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024. For nearly 30 years, the award-winning architectural studio has been creating unique and special environments for its clients. A graduate of Cornell University College of Architecture, Art and Planning, Craig Hoopes has done additional studies with Syracuse University in Florence, Italy, the Workshop of Environmental Design in Athens, Greece, and the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. H+A is deeply committed to community, pragmatic design and enduring architecture. We seek collaborative relationships with our clients that allow us to understand their needs and vision. This level of collaboration also extends to other parties in the planning and design process, including artisans, landscape architects, interior designers, contractors, and homeowner associations, with all of whom we have established strong working relationships. “We take traditional Santa Fe architecture and its minimal aesthetic, simple and spare, and make it contemporary. Both old and new styles are designed to work in their own environment – in the early Santa Fe pueblo style, houses were protected from the wind, snow and the rains – but now the contemporary style house is embraced by the land, and is all about light and openness, looking out and becoming part of the environment.” Craig Hoopes
The best — we had a dream, Craig brought it to life. He listened and he observed: to our ideas, to our lifestyle, to our philosophy of nature and design. We had many roadblocks along the way. A neighbor didn’t want a house next to them. Our HOA thought our house wouldn’t blend in with the community. Craig methodically responded with clever and creative solutions, with help from his assistant architect, Andrea, to create a consensus among all the stakeholders. When issues arose, he dealt with them with class, integrity and honesty. Craig incorporated our ideas as we sent pictures from Japan, from art museums around the world, and from magazines. He helped us push beyond traditional boundaries and worked tirelessly with the rest of the team—contractor, subs, engineering consultants, landscape architect, suppliers and interior designers—to create an extraordinary, exciting, but livable masterpiece. He created warm, comfortable living spaces in a dramatic contemporary context that blends with the natural beauty that surrounds our home. The house sits on a promontory, on a difficult site that required months of site work to create a home that is all on one story. We are on top of the world, and the world is now in our living room.

We hired Debbie on a recommendation to help design and draw up architectural plans for a home addition. Working with Debbie MacAllister was a delight in every way! She was knowledgable and professional ...yet easy and fun to be with! The more intimate "one on one" experience felt better than working with a large company, which I have also done in the past. She was prompt and kept in close touch during the whole process... We are so happy with the finished project and LOVE our renovation beyond words! Highly recommend her!!!!

Victoria Price Design For LivingArchitects, Architectural DesignVictoria Price brings her unique story to the national stage as a designer, art consultant, author, and public speaker. Growing up in Hollywood as the daughter of actor and art collector Vincent Price and designer Mary Grant Price, Victoria developed her own vibrant contemporary design aesthetic, which she fuses with her extensive knowledge of the visual arts–seamlessly blending modern and historic, regional and international, ethnographic and urban styles to create unique living and working environments. As an accomplished interior designer, Victoria works with her clients to help them realize their design visions by using what she believes is the most essential design skill–listening. Victoria’s goal is never to impose her own aesthetic on her clients, but to listen to their stories, their needs, their likes and dislikes, as together Victoria and her clients create spaces that reflect her clients’ lives. Victoria’s longstanding working relationships with international design manufacturers; artists and art galleries; as well as with the finest national, regional and local craftspeople allow her to realize her clients’ visions of homes that meld the finest in art and design. Price is also a popular public speaker on topics ranging from industrial design to art collecting to making peace with our past stories in order to expand our creative futures–as well as the life of her famous father. She has been privileged to speak all over the United States and Europe–at design conferences, colleges, conventions, and on behalf of private companies.
We have worked with Victoria on two remodels, one six years ago and one this year. She is an excellent designer and a pleasure to work with. She has a wonderful eye and generates lots of creative ideas, all while keeping the client's needs, interests, and lifestyle top of mind. She also has a knack for identifying small changes that can make a dramatic impact. She sources and manages skilled professionals in all aspects of the work, from electrical and plumbing to fine art, and will do whatever is necessary to deliver a quality project in a reasonable timeframe.

Jonathan worked with us to design the interior remodel of our new home in Santa Cruz, CA. He has an impeccable eye and incredible understanding of value and was able to advise us on everything from floorplan re-design to building materials selection to lighting design to color palette to individual furniture pieces. Since this was during most of quarantine, it was entirely virtual and Jonathan never once saw the house in person-- and it turned out BEAUTIFULLY. I cannot recommend working with Jonathan highly enough for any size project!!

Jim Salopek rescued me from a bad contractor who abandoned my project after the framing was done. The project was a room addition of 448 sq ft. A 16X20 bedroom and a 16X8 closet/laundry. Jim was one of the possible contractors suggested to by the attorney I hired to deal with the original bad contractor. His was the best offer. $5000 to manage the project plus costs with a total estimated between $24,000 and $30,000. His part came in at $30,000. They started 3-21-2017 and finished 6-21-2017. They were very professional and worked to get the thing done in a timely manner. He had to correct several deficiencies left by the first bad contractor. I am extremely pleased with the final results and I am grateful to Jim for helping me with a huge problem. It is not easy to find anyone interested in a small project. He told me he didn't like to see people treated like I had been. His guys were all great and did a first class job.

Tushita Design is committed to providing the highest level of service and sensitivity, bringing a unique, creative vision to the individual needs of each client, regardless of the size of the project.
Tushita Design did a fantastic job with my complex design project involving a complete kitchen and two bathroom remodel. For cost reasons I did not want to alter the existing walls of the rooms. And I wanted to order standard size Ikea kitchen and bath cabinets versus purchasing custom cabinets. Tushita designed the specific cabinetry within the rooms and then worked closely with the contractor to execute the plan to perfection. The end result was a stunningly attractive and functional kitchen and baths at less than half the cost of a customized job. I will hire her again and recommend her highly.
