“We actually began a remodel of our kitchen and master bedroom with a design/build firm other than Sardone/McLain. After a few months of back-and-forth with the designer and builder it became apparent that they didn't really seem interested in anything other than getting the contract. We'd also started hearing stories from our neighbors about the firm not finishing jobs in a timely manner, and going days or weeks without showing up. Even though we'd already spent several thousand dollars with them we decided to look at other firms. Through Houzz we found Sardone / McLain. When they took over this project, they came over and wanted to know how we live in our house. they asked "What are the things about the house you love? What are the things that you would like to see better. How do you use it? Where do you spend most of your time? Where do your guests congregate?" They got to know US first, and that comfort level you can't put a price on. Sardone/McLain then coupled a beautiful design and superior craftsmanship to create a space we absolutely love. “We used David Fowler as the architect for our renovation, primarily because we thought his original design of the home was so good. We had never seen such quality woodwork in a home before, and he was able to integrate that detail into our recent expansion. David is very creative, and he has a great eye for architectural detail. We liked how he integrated elements of the craftsman style (our Atlanta neighborhood style) into the original renovation. Our home looks like new on the inside, but it retains so much character. He had a lot of ideas that really made a difference, now that we are enjoying the renovation, such as: the skylights and vaulted ceiling in new screened porch; copper-clad chimney; height and style of the new fireplace & mantle; increased ceiling height of renovated kitchen; etc. The renovation is so bright and inviting. We would HIGHLY recommend him and encourage a review of his portfolio!”
