“I am a builder who works with many architects on a yearly basis, but whenever I am asked for a recommendation I seem to always refer Jeff of JMKA. Jeff Kaufman has an excellent eye for architecture and always seems to come up with a very functional but unique design. I have done several projects with Jeff and I see the projects full circle. From the initial client meeting to design, bidding, project management, to completion. In the initial meeting with the client Jeff will walk around the existing house listening to the clients expectations, just taking it all in, and then CLICK! It amazes me when Jeff starts explaining his vision and sketching out his ideas of the design which is not exactly what the homeowner was envisioning, it's better. Just about every time you hear from the client "huh I would have never thought of doing it that way but I love it!" That ability to tune in to the wants and needs of a client while still keeping the architectural integrity to the overall project, I think is the definition of a good architect, and why I will continue to refer Jeff Kaufman.

We chose to work with Xiomara because of her focus on seemlessly incorporating the new with the old - you cannot tell we have even done an addition. Our project was complex and required reworking the entire clay tile roof line. Our house now functions beautifully. The construction drawings were done to be within our construction budget, & when changes were made he was gracious & fair with regard to fees for extra services. He also helped us in selecting materials, & we were happy with those selections & the variety as well. While we haven't started construction yet, on past projects he was always accessible and able to clarify field conditions and changes by clients.
