Several architectural firms were skeptical of engineering constraints imposed by steep site conditions. Experience and expertise in building along the lakeshore enabled John to develop a plan that was prudent from an environmental perspective and pleasing in design. He incorporated our requests through multiple iterations of the brief. Most importantly, John expedited the EGLE permitting process. We are delighted with the results.

My wife and I purchased an Allegretti designed home in Long Beach, IN in 2014. We love it so much that we asked John to design our new home in Corpus Christi, TX. We are building on a double lot with unobstructed western water views over looking the Intercoastal and the Laguna Madre. Perfect Texas sunsets all year round! John and his team came up with some elegant ideas that integrate our love of "on the water" living with beautiful open Texas spaces. One of the best parts about working with John is his ability to listen to our ideas and then create spaces that combine his artistry and experience with our lifestyle. We anticipate getting started sometime in the spring of 2021, with a 2022 completion. I'll leave it to John to add a couple of interior photos, but the water view drawings are spectacular. John is an excellent architect who excels at listening to what we, his clients, are trying to accomplish, and turning that into reality. Our builder has told us that Johns plans are the best that he has ever used on a project. I also appreciate the fact that John is always available during the construction process to answer any and all questions that arise. After I purchased a home from Alligreti Architects,Inc. I hired them to do an addition. The design was beautiful and the implementation was quality work. John helped us find and select a builder (CL Construction, Holland) who clearly cared as much as John to make our home a reality through high quality, well managed work. Under Allegretti Architect's architectural guidance and CL Construction's building management, our home was built 'on time', 'on budget' and without undue surprises.

John Allegretti's name, face and, work came up during my search for an architect to re-configure our 1920 era's Arts and Craft house. His work showed a sensibility to classic proportion and design elements, with a modern twist. His reply to our inquiry was prompt and courteous. His work has been thoughtful and on time. He incorporated the ideas and suggestions we had to create an infused design that both traditionalist and modernist can be satisfied with. We agreed on a price comensurate with his experience and were only asked to pay for some small extras.

I have worked with Allegretti Architects for many years. I am a contractor and have used John for business and all of my personal projects. John is generous with his time and expertise, responsive and knowledgeable about all aspects of matters that impact a project, including referrals to local contractors who can execute it well. I first contacted John to assist me with "fixing" a paneled cathedral ceiling having little to no insulation so suffered through severe ice dams in our Michigan winters. He knew what was needed, how it would make little difference in appearance but a big difference in impact, where to obtain the materials, and who could perform the job well. Ice dams gone, and energy costs lowered - well done! A few years later, John assisted me with determining the fix to a cantilevered dining room that was shifting its foundation. Again, he identified the appropriate "fix" immediately and assisted with the contractor referral. His advice, solutions, and recommendations have been so spot on that he is now starting to work with me on a new remodeling project to design an addition to a 1953 house.

John Allegretti designed a boardwalk and deck for our homeowners association on Lake Michigan. The project exceeded our expectations in terms of design, materials used, project management and staying within budget. He listened to our needs and was timely in communications and project completion. The end product was a boardwalk with an infinity deck over looking Lake Michigan and our beach. I purchased my lakefront home designed by Allegretti Architects fifteen years ago. I have enjoyed every moment spent in my home and the design of the home and placement on the lot maximizes the Lake Michigan views better than any home I have seen. I am not the original owner but have had the pleasure of working with Allegretti Architects on two separate upgrade projects. Each experience was enjoyable, educating and finding their aesthetic judgment always in line with my budget. The results of these projects have always exceeded my expectations.

We interviewed 3 architects and chose John Allegretti based on his previous work and enthusiasm for our specific project. We wanted to go from a 1-1/2 story, 2 bedroom, 1-1/2 bath to something more. Our lot size is 33 x 132 ft. which isn't much to work with. Our location on lake Michigan's Silver Beach is extremely desirable but our home was not allowing us to take full advantage of available views. John created a full second story complete with a master suite (bedroom, bath and living area) and walk out second floor deck. This deck offers privacy and another beach view perspective. We now have expansive views throughout our home. (John used glass railings throughout.) We ended up with a more spacious home than we had envisioned. John also presented our project to the local planning commission (we needed variances), and remained engaged throughout the project which was a big help to us. We would work with John Allegretti and his associates again.
