Allison Knizek is Awesome and Wonderful to work with! I needed help when I downsized and had to think about all aspects of living in a smaller space - having it be beautiful and functional. We discussed my thoughts and ideas - Allison helped me create a home using a combination of new things and re-working some beloved pieces. We shopped for the new furniture - some custom, accessories and picked out all the fabrics for what was going to the upholsterer. Then it all came together with her creativity, planning, organization, and experience. I love the results and love my new home!

Allison is so knowledgeable in all design areas. She has a beautiful sense of style and has fantastic vision. She really gets whatever your vibe is and runs with that. She's not afraid to give her opinion, but certainly takes into account what pleases the client's tastes. Allison is incredibly thorough through the remodel process. She was very conscious of my budget, as well!

Allison has an incredible eye for design and a true professional. She has helped me redecorate two of my homes and I could not be any happier and proud of how beautiful my homes look because of her.

Allison is Awesome!! We had an outdated back yard patio area that has been an eyesore for many years and we just couldn't figure out how to redo it. With so many versions of ideas in our heads, Allison came in and in no time, had the perfect plan for our back yard area. It is beautiful. She was always available when we had questions and was not afraid to tell us some of our great ideas might not be best. But everything turned out perfectly and we spend more time out back than we do inside. Every time we walk out the back door, we feel like we are on vacation. We are already planning on bringing Allison back in to help with out kitchen. Highly recommend her!!!

We have worked with Allison on three residential projects over the last four years. Our latest project was a complete remodel of our home, taking it down to the studs and renovating it into a haven that now reflects personality and lifestyle. Allison listens to your ideas and then expands on them with her creativity and vision creating something fresh and unexpected. From the exterior hardscape and landscape plans to the interior design that included exquisite color consultation, Allison was able to take our 1950’s home and transform each room into something cohesive and current. She also incorporated our existing art pieces, with new colors, lighting, furnishings and fabric, allowing us to enjoy them in a whole new way. I highly recommend Allison for any design project. She will not disappoint!

Allison recently remodeled our entire house and did a spectacular job. She got to know my family and I on a personal level which allowed her to better understand our taste in decor. Allison never brought just one option to the table, she was always full of other creative ideas. For my bedroom, Allison worked with several existing pieces of fruniture but gave the room a completely undated and mature look.

We loved working with Allison. Creative, flexible, honest, professional, experienced and budget conscience are some of the words we would use to describe Allison. Allison worked with us to create our dream master bedroom and bathroom and love everything we did with her. She knows how to mix classic design with current trends; our master is both timeless and updated. One of the things we really appreciated about working with Allison was her ability to hone in on the important things for us to spend our money on and where to pull back when it wasn't as necessary. Allison has a wide variety of resources where things like tile and lighting can be purchased, which gives a lot of flexibility in price without compromising look and quality. This project required construction as well as interior design work and as with any project, problems arise. Allison came up with creative solutions to fix the issues in a timely and cost effective manner, usually with NO cost to us. During the course of the construction, we had the flexibility to change things with out delaying the time frame. Together we decided to raise the ceilings in our bedroom and bathroom and the final finish date was not pushed out. Allison recommended many people to work on our house that were all professional, honest, reliable and did top quality work. I felt the planning part of our project was very important in making things go smoothly. Allison is very organized and kept us on track. We can't wait to work with Allison again on our downstairs living room and family areas. We are so happy with out master retreat.

Allison Knizek designed the interiors of my Encino home. I wanted to update and freshen up and create a home that was more transitional rather than traditional. From the living room to the guest room (and everything inbetween) , she did an excellent job and my husband and I just love what she did. Allison has a knack for helping you determine what you really want - - within your budget. Through sheer creativity and a clever, innovative approach, Allison made things happen that we simply didn't think were possible. As a home builder and an interior designer, she has a wealth of knowledge that we just hadn't found in other designers. She is able to envision the whole picture and she helps you move in that direction. Plus, she is just lovely person - super easy to work with. We had fun!

We hired Allison to help in transforming the exterior of our home. She guided us in turning our blah, ranch-style track into a traditional, elegant statement-piece in our neighborhood. Allison is a true professional, in every sense. She first asked us the look we were going for and which colors we had in mind. Working within those perimeters, she presented us with the perfect options to choose...from the perfect combinations of paints, to beautiful outdoor lighting, hardware and garage doors...she took all the stress out of a project which I had initially found to be confusing and overwhelming. Her impeccable taste and attention to detail are invaluable assets when it comes to designing/decorating. We are looking forward to the next project we can hire her for!

I absolutely loved my experience with Allison Knizek who made my funky, old guest bathroom into a modern-day masterpiece - streamlined, clean, spacious (even though it is a small space) functional and beautiful. We pulled out everything in the existing non-functional bathroom, retiled, added a gorgeous glass stall shower, vanity, fixtures, sink, toilet, paint... the works. She designed an elegant tile feature in the shower reminiscent of a waterfall that ties together the color of the stunning vanity sink she found in a catalogue ON SALE (!) In fact, much of the bathroom was done on a budget. She worked hard to find me the best deals possible, yet didn't skimp. For example, we splurged on a gorgeous slate-like gray tile for the floors, but then found inexpensive decorative tiles at Home Depot to balance the floor-tile expense. The project came in on time and under budget, and the sub contractors were quite, clean, and respectful. Plus, they let my son hover and eat lunch with them ; ) Allison checked on the project often and was a stickler for the tiniest of details - things I completely would have missed. The result is stunning. After MUCH experience in home remodel, Allison Knizek will be the only designer I use from this point on.

I am a licensed contractor who has built for and with Allison for almost 10yrs. She is a very capable designer who has a good sense of space and how to make the most of it. While easy to work with, she's hard and fast about keeping to her budget. Remodel projects invariably go over budget. Allison seems to adapt well when faced with an adverse condition that threatens her initial design. A quality a lot of designers don't possess. I'm always amazed at how knowledgeable she is about availability of finish products like light fixtures, tile, stone, plumbing fixtures, etc.. I often confer with her about my other projects and in fact have had her to our house for design consultation. She's great with colors. We enjoy working with her and hope to continue in the future.

I have worked with Allison on numerous projects over many years, and I think she is one of the best designers. She has an excellent eye for color and design, yet never forgets about the budget and function of the space. She is very detail oriented which is great for the clients!! She expects the best from the people around her and that's what she gives and gets!
