Amanda Ganginis Architect

Amanda designed our kitchen remodel - which included a big vaulted ceiling with skylights - and she helped us turn our unfinished basement into a laundry room, office and spare bedroom. From the start, we were impressed by Amanda's creativity and imagination. She took our hodge-podge of ideas and turned them into a stunning but very liveable space. Every visitor who walks into our kitchen says "Wow"! It's become the heart of our family home and we love it. Our basement remodel is great too and we appreciated Amanda's clever suggestions about bringing light into a dark space. Amanda was lovely to work with and has an eye for the details which kept us on track from start to finish during our project. We would recommend Amanda without hesitation.

My husband, Chris, and I contracted with Amanda Ganginis to design and oversee the construction of a deck in our back garden. We were not disappointed! Amanda was an excellent choice for the job. We had thought a lot about what we wanted and had spent many hours developing plans. Amanda listened and worked with us, enhancing our vision and creatively addressing the inherent challenges of building onto an existing house and garden. She redesigned an existing pergola and incorporated our pond into the deck. She offered creative options for a privacy screen, successfully shielding us from an adjacent pedestrian walkway. We now have a deck that matches our aesthetic taste, our need for privacy, and with easy and natural flow from the house to the garden. Throughout this process, Amanda was on time, responsive, very personable, thoroughly professional, and a creative problem solver. Amanda worked with me on a smaller project and we got to talking about my kitchen. The more we talked, the more excited I got, and the next thing I knew I had some concept drawings and a home equity loan. Amanda listened to my vision and helped me understand the flow of the space and how it would work. It was her idea to bring the custom mosaic to the baseboard under the counter, and I have to say that it makes me happy every time I look at it. As a plus, Amanda managed the project from permits to punchlist, reducing my stress throughout the project. I would work with her again in a heartbeat. She is creative, practical and one of the hardest working people I know.
