Sharon George was an absolute professional from the very first meeting we had with her. She listened so well to what we wanted in our home, and was able to design beautiful functional features that we weren't even able to articulate as needs, but after really taking the time to know what our functionality and style desires were, she continued to come to us with iterations that were above and beyond what we expected. Sharon's process is organized. From drawings to invoices, she clearly maps out every step. Our builder was so impressed with Sharon's drawings that he called to tell me that her cabinet elevations were making their job easier than it had ever been - she had every detail and measurement exactly as it needed to be, making both the bidding process and the build process accurate and efficient. Our builder's high praise for the plans was such affirmation of our respect for Sharon! Sharon made our home feel like 'ours.' She stepped into the design process and lent her deep knowledge and expertise, but allowed our flavor to color all of it, and the result is a timeless family home that we love so much. We relied heavily on her feedback and wanted her advice and opinion in every phase of our renovation/build.

We originally met Sharon because she worked on a year-long home renovation at our neighbor's house, so over the year we got to see her work from afar (but not that far). Our neighbors had so many positive things to share about their experience of working with her. We decided to hire Sharon when it was time for our full home gut renovation. We could not be more pleased with our choice of architect. When you work with Sharon you are getting SO much more than just an architect. Not only is she a standout architect but she also has a fantastic eye for design, extremely high organization skills as a project manager, and is technically savvy & able to talk through the execution/mechanics with builders/subcontractors. We received bids from multiple builders and all commented on the extreme level of detail laid out in her plans, which made the evaluation process much easier. Sharon was great with incorporating as much of our wishlist as possible within our budget but was also never hesitant to push the boundaries to help us think differently about space in the most economical way. She is well versed in creating something functional, with the future in mind, while also keeping it aesthetically pleasing. She is a fantastic communicator and truly a trusted advisor for her clients. We ran into some trouble with our initial builder and Sharon didn’t hesitate to support us in any way she could. She helped us get connected to a new builder that came through in building our dream home. Sharon is someone who takes a lot of pride in her work and values high-quality results. She was a critical part of our team and we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcomes, not to mention we had a lot of fun working together too! 100% recommend working with her if you’re hoping to turn your house into a home.

Sharon, architected our home remodel project. We wanted to add a media room and a gym. We also wanted to make our living room open and update the front look of the house. Sharon was outstanding in designing these modifications. She remodeled the living room and the front of the house without making any drastic changes to the structure of the house. She made recommendations to upgrade the kitchen as well again with minimal changes. The result is stunning. We wanted to add the media room and gym on top of the garage. She was instrumental in making sure the height of the rooms aligned with rest of the house. Also the stairs to go up to the rooms was seamlessly integrated with rest of the house even though it was challenging. During construction Sharon helped with so many decisions. She worked with our interior designer and recommended high quality vendors and materials. There were some mistakes in measurements made by the construction crew and she caught it in time saving us time and money. I would recommend Sharon 100%.

Sharon is awesome! She did our home remodel for 2022/2023. She was very thorough, appropriately priced, and weighed in with her experience when it mattered. And she caught a couple of mistakes the builder made before the project was complete, so they could correct them before putting up the drywall.

Sharon was. a pleasure to work with! We added a second floor addition to our ranch style home in Austin. From the beginning, we liked that she gave us options for how involved she could be. We are pretty hands-on people, so is was nice to hire her to do what we needed. During the initial consultation, she gave us ideas that were exciting and outside the box. As the design progressed, she gained a greater understanding of the look we were going for and added details to enhance that look. She was flexible to incorporated our desires and to suggest things we hadn't considered. The main charge was that we wanted the addition to look like it had always been that way. When one of our neighbors stated that the house looks like "what it always wanted to be when it grew up," we knew that the goal had been accomplished. Sharon was on top of the project as it progressed, keeping up with how it was going and revisions along the way. As a builder, we work with a lot of architects. Sharon George is, hands down, one of our favorites. Her plans and homes are intuitively designed and still beautiful. Sharon has a firm grasp of building code and all the intricacies of building in Austin and surrounding communities as well as a wealth of market knowledge. Working with Sharon has been very collaborative - she welcomes ideas and feedback and offers plenty of her own. What sets Sharon apart is her precision. She doesn't miss anything and her plans are detailed in a way we, as builders, could never even have conceived of. Wondering how high up the wall that particular outlet is? Don't worry, it's marked in the plans. Literally, trades would need to go out of their way to mess something up using her plans. And this isn't something we requested or even knew we needed. Every builder has their own particular bugaboos, Sharon will remember all the feedback you provided in all her projects and apply that to the current one. Since our first project together, every new project has reflected our feedback from the previous, automatically, without our asking for them again. Sharon has been a joy to work with. She's truly a builder's architect. She will design you a house that will cruise through approval, construction, and off the market.

Sharon is really amazing at what she does - designing beautiful, functional homes for growing families! We hired her to design an extensive remodel-addition to our home (3/1 & 1000 sf ---> 4/2.5 & 2350 sf) in central Austin. She came up with a ton of really great ideas we would have never thought of ourselves. She communicates well, defines the scope and sets clear expectations, and delivers on what she promises. Due to our positive experience, we've recommended her services to many of our friends and now TWO different sets of friends have already hired her to design their upcoming remodels as well!

Sharon was recommended by a builder in our search to start a possible remodel process. My husband and I have met with a couple of times so far and are so happy with our progress. She’s smart, efficient with ideas, and appeasing to both of our viewpoints. She quickly came up with some great solutions and various opportunities to remodel our existing garage and first floor. When I found Sharon’s website and began reading through her process, I knew we spoke the same language. My husband and I, who are focused on turning our existing home into our forever home, were looking for someone to look at our space and see potential that we weren’t seeing. Sharon offers a service that I haven’t really seen a lot of, but could not recommend more highly. For an extremely reasonable price, she visited our home and gave us layout ideas, professional advice and explained her process in detail. She then summarized everything we talked about and came up with an incredibly detailed proposal of how the project would run start to finish, how she would help us choose a contractor based on our needs and goals, and then work with our contractor of choice. With the amount of steps and decisions that take place during a major renovation, her proposal made it clear that her experience and attention to detail would be a top priority and could ultimately help avoid some mistakes/errors during the process. While my husband and I decided there are a few more planning elements that we want to complete before we get started with developing formal plans, without Sharon’s help we might have missed important details and considerations that could have thrown our project (and budget) off from the very beginning. We look forward to re-engaging Sharon once we’re really ready to get started!
