A complete renovation of our tiny bungalow was a dream that we thought might never come to fruition. As soon as we met Heather and became acquainted with the vision and solid expertise behind Asquith Architecture, we immediately knew that we had found the right people to make our hopes become a reality. Asquith Architecture designed us a home that is unbelievably spacious and filled with natural light. It was a truly miraculous transformation! There were endless decisions to be made during our home renovation project, and choosing Asquith Architecture was the BEST decision we made. Heather guided us through every aspect of the process. From speaking on our behalf at the Committee of Adjustment meeting, to helping us select the ideal finishes for our home, Heather and Ashley provided consistent support and expert management. We are thrilled to be living in such a magnificent home that is modern, energy efficient, and thoughtfully designed.

Asquith Architecture are excellent designers and project managers. Heather’s approach is collaborative, professional and it was an absolute pleasure working with her. From design development to regular site visits during construction, Heather kept the project moving forward. We felt engaged, well informed and in very capable hands throughout our major renovation. It included basement underpinning, a complete gut of the existing home, a one story addition and a new garage. Asquith Inc helped to make our house to a home! With a pretty extensive rebuild that required a 3 story extension and getting down to the studs, Proprietor Heather Asquith and her architect team, including Amanda Carson, worked on every detail of the build with us in mind at all times. We came to the table with no previous experience of hiring an architect and vetted a handful of options. Asquith Inc provided excellent references and were the perfect fit. Their thoughtful, practical and creative approach included knowledge of material cost, longevity and final result with consideration to the “look and feel” upon completion. The team included us in all the discussions, provided advice and most importantly, worked closely (and very well) with our general contractor who made the whole house come together. Team Asquith has incredible communication skills, project management skills, and great vision. For example, when we opted to pick our own fixtures, the team helped to time manage and prioritize our orders and provided excellent feedback about fit and design. With any future projects requiring an architect, Asquith Inc will undoubtedly be our first point of contact. Highly recommended as a top Architect crew!!

Working with Heather was a true pleasure. She is creative, knowledgeable, collaborative and an absolute delight of a human. She designed a beautiful Reno for us and continued working with our contractor to find solutions to any issues that could arise. And some did, as with any construction. Despite being so knowledgeable she is not an ego driven architect, always listening to suggestions and trying to find the best solutions. She’s a big team player and if I ever did any other build I’d go to her again, no doubt about it.

Heather provided wonderful design and management of our home renovation. The project was to add a modern addition to a century home in Toronto, while preserving the original character and personality of the home from the street view. We needed to grow the home for our family of five, while including lots of light, storage, and a few new spaces. Heather listened carefully to our needs, and produced an elegant design. She helped us vet contractors and gave us sound guidance on contractor choice. She worked in close cooperation with the contractors to keep the project on track and running smoothly. When there were a few inevitable hiccups - as there are in any project - Heather took responsibility and dealt with issues with an exceptional degree of professionalism and integrity. Heather was always available to answer questions and explain what was happening, and her involvement gave us confidence in the project as it proceeded. The space ended up being exactly what we wanted - an airy, open addition to a classic home, with thoughtful design details that specifically addressed our needs. We love the home that Heather helped us to build, and we highly recommend Heather Asquith and ASQUITH Architecture.

I can't say enough about the service that Heather and her team provided us during our renovation. She was attentive, detail oriented and the final design was perfect. She helped guide and support us through the entire process and represented us at our committee of adjustment hearing, which, to this date, was one of the fastest hearings I've heard of. And I'm convinced it's because of the preparation Heather helped us with. She worked very closely with the contractor once the work got started, and stayed involved, to ensure the design elements were followed and to help problem solve when issues arose. We still get compliments, 3 years later, on how beautifully designed the house is and how well it still blends in with the neighbourhood. We hired Heather Asquith to design, plan and oversee a major renovation to our 1927 North Toronto home. I cannot say enough good things about Heather. She was such a pleasure to work with. A very talented architect who listens to her client’s needs, determines what the best options are and then sets out clearly how the whole process will work. It was important to us to work with someone who could oversee and manage the whole process. She made many excellent suggestions throughout when it came to layout, lighting, and finishes. Doing a major renovation can be overwhelming and we felt very confident working with Heather. Great ideas, design, and overall, a fantastic experience with a wonderful outcome!

Working with Heather was a pleasure. She was attentive to our needs and developed strategies that made the design, construction and process easier. Our contractor said he had never worked with a better set of drawings! As a designer myself, I always find that there are things I wish I had done differently as soon as a project in my own space is complete. However, this was not the case after working with Heather. We are so happy with the end result. We were fortunate that our work was done pre-pandemic. Having the extra space was essential.
