This firm was very easy to work with. We had a rough floor plan that we wanted to use and they improved it at each step. They did their research on our property, taking the time to photograph the area where we wanted it to be and designed our home to perfection! It was better than I had imagined it. It was the best experience working with a professional with something that was so dear to our heart. Our home.

By far the most enjoyable part of our custom home build journey has been working with Andy and Kristy. We had a series of challenges with regard to our lot and the team was with us every step of the way. They listened so carefully to us and incorporated the most important details in our plans. So pleased, we can't wait to break ground this spring!

My husband and I have enjoyed working with the Bergland and Cram team. They took our "wish list", made suggestions based on their considerable experience and designed a lake home that is beautiful and efficient. They guided us through the process of choosing a builder and worked with local building officers to get the project off to a smooth start. We are very happy with the contempary home created for our family by Andy Meyer of Bergland & Cram Architects. He considered our personal style, location of the lot, number of rooms and other needs when developing the building plans and was helpful to our contractor during the building process.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Bergland + Cram on the design of our lake home that we now live in and love. They developed numerous concepts and modeled each idea so we kcould see exactly what it would look like on our property. Even going as far as to show us how the sun would impact the outdoor entertaining spaces to assure our family gatherings on Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day would be as enjoyable as possible. We very much appreciated their approach to the design process including their assistance with developing construction cost estimates for each concept they shared with us. They also helped with finding us a builder, early on, to assist with accurately estimating the final design. Ultimately, leading to no surprises during construction. We had the opportunity to work with Joe Anderson from the Bergland + Cram Architecture firm on a complete remodel of a summer lake house. Joe was wonderful to work with. He provided us with an exceptional vision of what could be achieved and was extremely easy to work with. He listened attentively to our input and was able to accommodate and improve upon any suggestions we came up with. The result was perfect!! Numerous individuals have since stopped by our home to tell us how impressed with the transformation.

Andy and his staff were a pleasure to work with and we love the end result of the process! This was our first experience with an architectural firm and I must say it was quite painless. We looked at hundreds of photos and then shared our likes and dislikes with Andy and his staff. I hired Bergland & Cram to design our new home. We worked with Joe Andersen. I gave him a three page list of desires and with several meetings he designed the perfect home for us. We have lived in this home for over three years now and I can't think of one change I would want to make. I would highly recommend Bergland & Cram to any one interested in housing architecture.

I have had the pleasure of working with Bergland + Cram on a new custom home project. The architect, Joe, and staff are excellent. During early concept development, Joe and I discussed my ideas and wish list and we walked the property. Joe was able to take my simple ideas and develop a schematic and floor plan which blew me away. He hit all the talking points. Joe has ably managed the further development of the project. He's juggled builder and sub-contractor needs, design details, and the many building material suppliers all while meeting my needs and paying close attention to budget. My work takes me overseas every other month, and Joe manages the project while I am away. I have complete confidence in Joe. The project is still in progress, but I am certain the results will exceed my expectations.

Scott Borcherding of the Bergland & Cram firm of Mason City did the interior design restoration work on Frank Lloyd Wright's Park Inn Hotel. A citizens' group had the building restored; the firm won a major national historic preservation award last fall. The hotel is beautiful, reminiscent of FLW's Dana Thomas House in Springfield, Illinois--both are Prairie Style. The project involved the restoration of 62 stained glass windows and hotel rooms.
