Blake Civiello Architecture

We found Blake and his partner, Lili, on Houzz so it is only appropriate we write a review here about their excellent work and professional character. We interviewed several firms before hiring them, deciding that working with a smaller firm would probably be better for us. Blake's work is amazing. The entire remodel has essentially produced a new house. His concepts, his ability to work and stay in budget---so wonderful. The kitchen, in particular, is a dream. In addition to their incredible skill, Blake and Lili went above and beyond the scope of their contract when our contractor became gravely ill. I was also new to remodeling, and they have been incredibly patient with us during times of indecision and proposed changes. To be able to have a team that is both incredible in terms of their vision but also follow-through and professional help at all stages (2 year project) is amazing. I hired Blake Civiello Architecture for their Real Estate Consultation services. We are considering a renovations to our home, and had no idea if this was permissible within our zoning requirements. It was quick and easy to schedule an appointment, and Blake and Lili came to our meeting on time and so prepared. I was given a complete and thorough review of our options, and lots of supporting documents from the building department to support their findings. We walked the entire space, as they offered suggestions and ideas. They were generous with their time, and answered all of my questions, and then some! They were beyond professional as well as warm, kind and attentive. We had a great experience, and I would suggest to anyone to use their services to investigate an idea before getting underway on a major project. If we move forward with our project, I would definitely trust them to do the work.

We met with Blake and Lili for a Design Brainstorm session and they were professional, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful. Blake provided some great perspectives and design options that we hadn't yet thought of and Lili offered lots of great tips and advice for the project. We are very pleased with their services!

Blake and Lily were terrific to work with. They took some basic concepts we provided and produced a marvelous set of concepts and plans. They handled everything for us - architectural, hardscape, landscape. They helped us balance finding nice fixtures with our budget needs. They also provided pictures, schedules with manufacturer names and model numbers. They were very accommodating with their time. At one point we asked about Feng Shui considerations and Blake was kind enough to research for us and provide us with suggestions. Finally, it is worthwhile to mention that during the construction bidding process, every contractor (5 of them) commented on the thoroughness and high quality of the plans produced. They have each have stated that it is rare to see plans of this caliber. I highly recommend Blake and Lily.

I was recently hired by Blake Civiello Architecture to stage their mid century modern home in the Royal Woods area of Sherman Oaks. Blake and Lili did an amazing job restoring the home and were a pleasure to work with. I look forward to working with them on future projects and highly recommend them!

Norden luxury Camp and Norlha Textiles are two projects located on the Tibetan plateau at 3200 mtrs above sea level. The weather conditions are extreme and we used Blake Civiello's services in two areas: a luxury camp and an atelier. In both cases, we appreciated very much Civiello's green, affordable as well as aesthetically pleasing solutions to the project. In both cases, we were able to couple available natural resources such as solar energy, with practical insulation techniques, to conserve energy for a warm, comfortable and beautiful atmosphere. His method of building has become an example in the area and since then, many local people have adapted his techniques for insulation and heating.

I am extremely pleased with the design and renovation work done on my home. Blake was recommended to me by a friend and from the start, it was clear that his level of knowledge and professionalism was incomparable to other architects and contractors I met with prior. Even though this was considered a smaller project compared to what they are used to working on, attention to detail was impeccable. They have a very personal approach and were extremely easy to work with. Most importantly, they valued my time and feedback which reflects a sense of respect for their clients. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I'm so happy with the results!
