We hired Melissa Spoelstra to remodel our log cabin, in particular the kitchen, master bedroom bathroom and half bath on the main floor with our objective to open up the space in the kitchen, replace counter tops and rebuild the shower in the master bedroom. She selected the fixtures, sinks, hardware and appliances with several choices ultimately for us to choose from that had the potential to work in our areas of remodeling. Once we decided on what we wanted she began the painful process of designing everything to fit with the most thought put into making every space as functional and practical as possible while maximizing the usable space. When we finally began our project, she single-handedly managed and coordinated the work of the electrician, plumber, builder, tile installer, cabinet installer, countertop measuring and all the deliveries of all the materials on our job site. When our project was concluded, it was completed on time and right on budget because of her commitment to our remodeling project. Our new kitchen is awesome! Really the spirit and base of our log cabin with all the added character that we wished for from the beginning. The outcome of the overall remodeling process is absolutely, lovely, functional and is directly a result of her hard work and dedication and commitment to perfection! We hired Melissa to remodel our 1950's closed off kitchen with the end goal of opening up the space, adding more seating, and providing ample storage. She provided us with multiple renderings and was able to discuss the pros/cons of each while keeping our budget in mind. Once we decided which layout worked best, she helped me shop and keep in mind the "whole picture" rather than just focusing on small details. Her ability to visualize the finished project was invaluable because she saved me both time and money! Once construction began, she worked closely with the builder and subs to monitor the project.
