We have worked with Greg and Tim twice, and both experiences have been fantastic. We would highly recommend them! Our first experience included them designing an addition and remodel of our old house. While we did not move forward with the project due to the cost, we loved the work they did and were disappointed that we were not able to move forward with the project. Our second project was a recently completed porch and exterior update of our current house. While the project was not very big, especially considering the beautiful houses that Brehm designs, we received the same level of attention and work from them as we did the first time around. We have received countless compliments on the improvements on the new look of our house. It would be great if all companies/contractors that we have worked with had Greg and Tim's responsiveness and attention to detail.

We hired Greg Brehm in 2014 to design and build a single family residence in Park Ridge Illinois. Greg designs custom, high end residential structures that reflect the wishes of the client. Greg also helped us to not make any obviously stupid decisions and in many ways saved us from some probably dumb ideas. If you are looking for low cost housing or need to restrict your budget Greg is probably not the right architect for your project. Importantly we used Brehm in a design build capacity that virtually eliminated the disputes or disagreements between designer and builder that can arise when those functions are separated. Our turnkey project also had a very capable interior design service that was invaluable to us in making design decisions. In a world of infinite choices it was very important to us that the possibilities be distilled down to a fewer number of decisions. This added element was both important to the pace of the project as well as preventing us from making poor design decisions. If you elect to use Brehm you will get a product that reflects tasteful design, the state of the art in residential construction technology, excellent energy efficiency, excellent life safety, and access to the best subcontractors who actually execute the plan. If there is a downside you will likely spend a little more than you initially intend.

We hired Greg Brehm and his team to design our custom home in Park Ridge, IL and provide all drawings/CD's, etc. After looking into alternatives, we also hired Pat O'Connor of O'Connor/Brehm to be our Builder/GC. Overall, the experience was outstanding....Greg is a highly experienced and talented residential architect who has a great eye for design, quality, and details. We had several meetings with Greg before he drew our house and we also saw other houses he designed. The initial drawings were nearly final despite slight modifications made before we finalized and bid-out. Greg had a keen understanding of what we were looking for both on the exterior and interior of our home. The design, roof-line and exterior dimensions of the home and the materials used were exactly what we were looking for and unique in our neighborhood. Like any custom home, we had some change-orders along the way however all were handled by Greg and Pat efficiently and professionally. The strong integrated delivery and relationship between Pat and Greg were key to execution. The overall project was delivered on-time and reasonably within our expected budget. We would highly recommend Greg Brehm as an Architect and Pat O'Connor as a Builder.

After a couple ideas we got to a great design that we're very pleased with...special consideration to the way the addition mixed with the existing home should be noted- just excellent and most people don't realize it's an addition from the front of the home. Greg Brehm lead a large renovation project for our home in Inverness, Illinois. We had built a home before and quickly recognized the complexities of a large renovation. Greg helped us at every stage of the project and managed the contracting, legal steps, etc, --- all flawlessly. When issues came up with subs or with approvals, Greg navigated through the issues pro-actively and to good conclusions. When choices or difficult decisions were required, he helped to put the decision in right perspective and could easily explain the pros and cons. Greg made the project cost effective and "drama free" and most importantly he ensured that the end product was beautiful and made us proud. We highly endorse Greg's professional capability. As a person, Greg was easy to work with and a man of high character. We wouldn't hesitate to hire Greg again.

Greg Brehm and the staff at Brehm Architects worked closely with homeowners to design a classic, sustainable home in the near Northwest Suburb of Park Ridge, IL. Greg's focus when selecting material finishes was driven by the desire to find high quality materials that still fit within the budget of the project. Reclaimed "Chicago Common" brick, quarried full bed depth stone and thin stone were some of the selections that produced an attractive single family home.

We hired Brehm Architects to design our home about 7 years ago. They did a great job. The end result was thoughtful, architecturally interesting in comparison to most other homes in our town, and very detailed, which made the process of bidding out the construction portion of the project much simpler.

Project was an addition to our dining room and porch. Our house was built in the 1920's and Greg Brehm listened to what we were trying to achieve and presented us with several options. He kept the feel of our older house and we are most pleased with the end result. He handled necessary contacts with the city to get approval for the project, and when an issue arose he took care of that as well. I have recommended him and will continue to do so when the opportunity arises.
