With his creativity and ability to listen, he translated our requests into a design promptly along with cost saving suggestions that helped us stay on budget and on schedule. Because of his top-notch website, we found Bryce Engstrom on-line to design our beach house in Shell Beach, California. Initially, we hired him to design a 2,300 sq. foot home, but later opted to remodel the present 1950's home on our lot. In both cases, Bryce met every professional criteria we had: he was competent, listened carefully to our dreams, drew up an amazing set of plans, was punctual with work completed, handled all necessary permits, enlisted top contractors for us to interview, and led us to an amazing team which is presently completing our 'new' home by the sea. I appriciated his fast response and creative approach to the project. He has a great grasp of the latest technology. He was honest and open with me about what my HOA would possibly allow and he was correct. So, had my HOA allowed a project, I would have build what he had specified.

Bryce is a highly creative architect who is also very open to the homeowner's ideas. We knew what we wanted (a contemporary Craftsman), but the site was small and on a hill, so it was somewhat difficult to make things fit. Bryce came up with an alternative design that allowed us to have the amount of square footage we needed, but still get the look we wanted. He was also able to maximize the view for us. I very much appreciated the way he'd listen to our ideas, show us a rough design, then make his own suggestions that were invariably better choices for us. We have now lived in our new house for two years and absolutely love it!
