We have had an excellent long-standing relationship with Campbell Smith Architects for over 20 years related to building two homes. Peter, Pam and their team’s commitment to delivering the highest level of quality and innovation is second to none. They are always focused on their customer’s interests, dreams and expectations. Peter shares his creative ideas and perspectives to deliver the best outcomes and customer experience. He was also an outstanding advisor to us on so many levels related to our most recent project, which was complicated. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to leverage his wealth of knowledge and experience, including his recommendation of our builder who was excellent. We have always been impressed with his architectural designs and it’s clear that so many others in Duxbury feel the same way. Campbell Smith Architects are well known for designing both traditional New England style, as well as beautiful Shingle Style homes. Their knowledge of American architecture, translated into period-style homes, blend into the community. And their lovely Shingle Style homes grace the coast of the South Shore. We have had the pleasure to work with Peter and Chris as the builder of many of their custom designed homes and would highly recommend their work.

Peter Smith and his team was such a pleasure to work with in designing our new home. He got things done in a timely manor and always made himself available for any questions. I absolute love and admire how the homes he designs has such beautiful detail. I could not be more excited to build what he has designed. An absolute dream house!!

Classic design... Effectively executed. Peter added a lot of value. It took a while to arrive at what we wanted, but as our ideas firmed up and we presented pictures of properties we liked, Peter did a good job of applying the design concepts to our remodeling project. He is stronger with external design, than internal. Good turn around and responsive, but impatient with changes or added scope but on balance easy to work with.

We have built 4 Campbell Smith homes. We wouldn't work with any other architectural firm. Their emphasis on attention to detail and single style design homes is unsurpassed.

I have worked with Peter Smith and his firm on many recent residential projects as a builder/ developer and highly recommend them. Their expertise and artistic abilities are second to none. The designs are completed with prefect scaling with not a detail left to second guess. Their understanding of historical architectural details blends extremely well with their ability to create structures that customers dream about in todays marketplace. Their are many architects that draft homes but Campbell/ Smith sets the bar on artistically designing the most beautiful homes in the area clearly setting themselves in a league of their own.

After struggling with 2 other architects to achieve our goals: add an addition that was aesthetically seamless to a home built in the mid-1800s, but offered modern amenities; perfectly frame and capture an expansive water view; and correct previous design errors, Peter Smith more than exceeded our needs and expectations. His architectural knowledge was broad and deep and his ability to work professionally and comfortably with us and our contractor was what we all needed—older homes present daily challenges during extensive renovations. We highly recommend Peter and his firm.

We worked with Peter and Pam on designing an addition for our circa 1910 home in Duxbury, MA. Because of the history of our home and its close proximity to Duxbury's town village, we were highly concerned with keeping to the vernacular of our historic home's existing spirit and location. We could not have been more pleased with the outcome. Not only did their design give us all that we asked for but it was also completely within our budget. Our home is highly visible to the townspeople and while we get so many compliments on how great our addition looks, one of the greatest, and most often heard compliment is, "it looks like it has always been there!". I view this as the utmost compliment to this endeavor and couldn't recommend Cambell Smith architects any more! Thanks Peter and Pam!

We have worked with Campbell/Smith Architects on four different projects. Our first was the extensive renovation of/addition to our antique home (1895) where we almost tripled the size of the residence. Their attention to our growing needs and their focus on every detail (aesthetic and functional) produced phenomenal results. Our house looks like a perfectly preserved antique home that evolved over time. We also used them to renovate our seaside home, which involved completely gutting and redesigning a home built in the 60's. In addition, they designed two other distinctive residential new construction projects for us. In all of these projects, their talent, enthusiasm, and vision and, most importantly, their willingness to listen to our needs was exceptional. In short, their work is superb and their unwavering focus and energy is inspiring. Our projects have been so diverse and Campbell/Smith's ability to produce beautiful and effective results in each scenario is amazing to us.
