Todd had the courage to take on a challenging small home redesign! We hired Carini Engineering Desgins to help us "reimagine" the space in our 100 year Fairport Village home. The center of our home was originally a boat house on the Erie Canal before being moved to the street as a dwelling. No floor was level, no wall was plumb and the additions to the house were haphazardly built. Todd carefully assessed the condition and possibilities in the structure of the house. He found that every single wall was load bearing and quipped "your house has surprises around every corner!" From that assessment, Todd generated designs that have TOTALLY TRANSFORMED our living space! We could not be happier with the job Todd and Steve for us, including a custom beam to hold the load of a vaulted ceiling, a custom nook for a gas fireplace and a fabulous kitchen. I was referred to Carini and paired with Todd as my architect. We were in sync immediately and my ideas were put to print quickly and without any changes necessary. From day one I knew that Todd was going to do a solid job with the design of our new house. However what he produced far exceeded our expectations. After meeting with a number of architects, we elected to go with Todd and Carini Designs. Our project involved an addition to our home that we built approximately 13 years ago and needed to compliment the existing structure (and not look "tacked on"). Todd carefully listened to our wish list and designed an absolutely amazing concept. This task was accomplished in a very timely and friendly manner with exceptional communication. Im a remodeling contractor and I contacted Steven to do drawings for a project I was doing. He was able to fit me in. And he sent one of his guys Sean out to the site to go over the things I needed and they turned it around fast. I will totally be using Carini Design on other projects.
