The Boston architectural firm, Catalano Architects is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in design and craftsmanship. Thomas P. Catalano, AIA LEED AP is a licensed architect in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York and has been inducted into the New England Design Hall of Fame. In 2013 the firm received two Bulfinch Awards presented by the New England Institute of Classical Architecture and Art and was recognized for a TRENDS Top 50 American Homes award.
Established in 1987, Catalano Architects prides itself on the ability to listen to its clients and understand not only their functional requirements, but also their aesthetic aspirations. The firm's continuing success is built upon this close working relationship with their clients.

It is always refreshing when we have the opportunity to work with Catalano Architects. Tom and his team provide an accurate and detailed assessment of the project while keeping the creative integrity of the home always in focus. Tom's calm and steady approach to the customer is always on display. When chatting about Catalano Architects with those at KVC the word "fair" always seems to be front and center. Tom is a class act and anyone would be lucky to work with his firm.

I have worked with Tom Catalano on several projects incuding the Osterville Residence. Tom's ability to capture a client's vision with clarity and architectural fluency is refreshing and quite special. His team of professionals are a delight to work with and Tom is always at the top of my list when my clients ask for an architect. Tom is a true talent and gentleman.

In December of 2011, we contemplated purchasing a 7200 sq. ft. home on a stunning piece of property on Fishers Island. The 1931 home, had not be touched in over 25 years with the most recent renovation done in 1968. We knew we needed more than the average architect and someone who could provide advice and guidance on not only the design of the home's exterior and interior floor plans, but this was no less than a major renovation and needed to be accomplished on an island serviced by a small ferry, with unique needs that included minimum waste, historical significance and proximity to a 40 foot cliff. We did our research and found Catalano Architects. Their breadth of knowledge and expertise were what we were looking for. From the first day until now, Tom and his collegues have be approachable, available and have provided the advice we needed to get this monumental project off the ground. Catalano Architects have not only created what will be a stunning home out of a mess, they have also provided much needed advice and direction in selection of mechanicals, negociations with contractors and subcontractors and readily offerred their expertise in the selection of building materials, design alternatives and floor plan reorganization. All along this journey Catalano Architects have been professional, organized, on time, attentive to detail and more than anything, AVAILABLE.
In addition to this home we have also engaged Tom to help with the renovation of a commercial building we purchased. Again, great ideas, supurb detailed forward thinking plans and nothing less than supremely professional. Both projects have been more than positively received and we are only too happy to recommend this firm to anyone where knowledge, expertise, professionalism, creativity and oftentimes humor are important.
