Charlie Myer and his colleagues were outstanding partners in our house renovation. At every turn they were thoughtful, creative and passionate about helping fulfill our aesthetic and pragmatic objectives. With expertise in respectfully renovating older homes, as well as an openness to new ideas, they were the ideal team.

We were fortunate and thrilled to get to work with Charlie and his team on our full home renovation last year. They did a phenomenal job and we loved working with them throughout the entire process. We chose Charles R. Myer & Partners because of the beauty, creativity and elegance of their work, and because we knew they would stay very true to the historic character and quality of our 100+ year old Colonial home, while re-shaping it to fit our young family. Charlie is absolutely incredible at creating beautiful and truly functional spaces - his vision for our house simultaneously preserved its integrity and completely transformed it in stunning fashion - this is why we always wanted a Charlie Myer house! Throughout the process, we have gotten to work with several of the other architects on the Charles R. Myer & Partners team - Alice Dunn, Don Knerr, and Edward Pitts - and all are deeply experienced and carry Charlie's signature abilities of being able to envision beautiful, eye-opening spaces and add the perfect special touches to make the home warm, unique, and inviting. Alice in particular quarterbacked for the last year every detail of our renovation in very close and seamless partnership with our builder and interior designer. She and Charlie listened to our needs and desires (and our budget), helped us choose between options in the big picture (e.g., in the plan, choice of builder/designer), and then Alice worked out every specification, large and small, to make it a reality. Her creativity in finding solutions to the inevitable things that come up in a 100-year-old home renovation was incredible. It was really an enjoyable and fun process for us. We love our Charlie Myer house and absolutely loved working with everyone at Charles R. Myer & Partners! They are the best of the best and we highly, highly recommend them.

It has been our pleasure to work with Charlie Myer & his team on 3 projects: a mid-size renovation, a full scale renovation and the building of a new large home. Charlie's greatest strength is his wonderful vision -- beautiful, unique architectural details combined with outstanding functional design. People often walk into our home that Charlie built and remark .. "wow, I love your house". "this is my favorite house in Wellesley." The lines, the details, the way the home brings in light. All stunning. Charlie really listened to our family's priorities and built a house that feels like OUR home! At the beginning of our project, my husband asked Charlie to build a house that will be loved for 100 years - mission accomplished. Simply put, Charlie creates beauty. In addition to his wonderful vision, the execution of a project with Charlie is a pleasure. Over our three projects, we worked with two different folks on his staff. Pete & Wendy were both fantastic. Great ideas, meticulous attention to detail, highly skilled and both just really nice people. Charlie and his team helped us select everything: plumbing, lighting, tile, paint colors, etc. ... beautiful finishes to complement his stunning design. On our new home project, we had a very difficult relationship with our builder; Charlie's team helped us manage those issues very skillfully, thereby buffering us from many of the problems. It has been our pleasure to work with Charlie over the past 12 years. We cannot recommend him highly enough and cannot imagine working with anyone else.

I think what has been so amazing about working with Charlie (and Pete in his office) is that they are so thoughtful about making this project work for our family. They truly listened carefully to what we wanted for each of our houses (this was our second with them!) and then added in details that were really specific to our needs. We did not feel that we were sacrificing anything we wanted to have a cookie cutter home-this was about us. Our homes are amazingly beautiful because they are what works for us. I walk in every day and think it is the best house I have ever been in and I am so lucky to live there. That's how everyone should feel after a big project!
