Charles Rabinovitch Architects

We were really blown away when we saw his previous projects and knew that Charles Rabinovitch was the Architect for us. What we didn't expect was his complete lack of conceit. I have very specific ideas of what I want-Charles is always willing to listen and to incorporate them. It is really a conversation between us, not an Architect dictating what he wants. Charles recently told me that "each project is a symphony, not a song" (seriously, he did!). This is not an easy project. It is a total gut renovation of a house that has land use issues. Charles has been a serious force to make sure that the "i"s are dotted and that the "t"'s are crossed. It really could not happen without him. We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Charles and his team, and so glad that Charles agreed to take on our unique project. We can't wait to share the photos when it is completed.

Charles is a real pro. He designed a home from beginning to end for my husband and myself in Riverdale that is working out to meet all our needs and is spectacular at the same time. Charles helped us to combine two coop apartments and make it into one large loft like space with a new open kitchen and 3 new bathrooms, a pantry with a slop sink and built in storage throughout . Charles understands how to maximize space, keeps things simple and knows how to work within a budget while being uncompromising about quality and efficiency. Charles worked with furniture we had and reused it in the new home. As we are busy professionals with no time to oversee the construction Charles remained on top of the renovation remaining reliable and thorough throughout the process. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Charles Rabinovitch. We truly have a home we love to live in due to his astute eye, talent and follow through.

Charles Rabinovitch is a professional and talented architect. He designed and supervised the combination of two adjacent apartments for us. His design sense is simple, elegant and practical. There is no wasted space in our new apartment, with plenty of storage for books, clothes and the clutter of everyday life. It was easy to work with Charles, as well. He respected our ideas, expanded them creatively, yet kept within our date. It was a such a pleasure to work with him that we hired him for an additional project after this one!

I am giving Charles 5 stars because we had to rebuild our new apartment completely, transform it into something that would serve our needs. Charles was instrumental in taking limitations that existed and transforming the place into something that really reflected our needs. Charles has very strong network of relationships with various professionals in the industry that also brought us some significant monetary benefits. In addition to his skills, Charles is very good at clients interaction and served very often as a mediator between contractors and client. Overall, we were very pleased with the results of our work with Charles and his firm.

Charles is terrific. He designed and oversaw construction of our apartment. His ideas, choice of contractors, and the project implementation was flawless and on time. Previous experience was not smooth or anxiety-free! I would recommend without hesitation.

Charles and Andrea Rabinovitch worked with me to design my living room, dining room, bathrooms, kitchen and home office. They advised me about matters of budget and personal taste to help me create living quarters that reflect my interests (books, music) and needs (professional work space). They care about all aspects of design. They will not settle on a wall color, for example, until they have seen the color under natural and electric light. They make sure that furniture choices are integrated into the overall look of a room. I have lived with some of their design recommendations for more than ten years -- and my home still looks up to date and fresh. I have turned to the Rabinovitches many times over the years for additional design consultations. They are currently helping me turn a bedroom into a music room. Their knowledge of design is invaluable.
