My wife and hired Chuck to help us with a compete home renovation. After considering several different designers in the area my wife and I felt that Chuck had our best interest and better plan than most. Instead of telling us yes, yes, yes we can do that no problem. Chuck made us understand what was realistic with the renovation of our home. He created a wonderful design inside and out. We would most certainly recommend Chuck for any project big or small. We hired Chuck to design a large addition to our home, with a number of very difficult design challenges (changes in elevation, angles). We also wanted to ensure that the addition did not look like an addition, but looked like it had always been there. Chuck listened to everything we wanted, and came up with a design that accomplished exactly what we dreamed of. The result is stunning and we are extremely happy with it. My wife Suzanne and I were looking for a professional to design our dream home. Chuck Mills Designs was recommended to us by a close friend who had just completed his project using Chuck Mills as his designer. Chuck was very receptive to our needs. We outlined the style of home we wanted to build as well as what we called "non-negotiables" which were really items like kitchen and family room square footage as well as location of our Master Quarters. Chuck designed our renovation addition of the main floor and basement. We added 500 sq. ft and a very large new deck. We were looking for more storage, better kitchen layout and better view of our backyard thinking sunroom. Chuck listened and looked at our very cluttered and small room environment very much seventies feel. He came back with a very beautiful great room with spacious kitchen, a butler room, open concept dining room off the kitchen, built in buffet/hutch and two floor to ceiling curio cabinets. He also understood that I wanted a private room for many special items including two pianos. He designed large windows and a large patio door for the back of the addition that let so much light in. Now everyone wants to come in the back entrance first as we spend all our time in the great room and it is so warm and inviting. He was there for recommendations on finishing. Everything from paint colour to outside coach lights. If I wasn't sure about something I would ask his advice. I can't say enough about Chuck. I would recommend him in a minute. We could not have done this massive project and have it turnout so well without him. Any future projects I would not want to do without his opinion and design work.

We hired Chuck Mills to design our full home transformation project - a complete rebuild of an existing bungalow with addition comprising a large family room, new mudroom and master bedroom with retreat area, as well as a new triple car attached garage. The result is fabulous and we have received many compliments on the overall design and look. He is a true professional and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely hire him again.

It started with wanting to renovate our kitchen. The project soon "morphed" into renovating the adjoining mudroom, laundry room, powder room and family room. We were now dealing with a major renovation! We wanted a more contemporary look that would still work and blend with our traditional home. When vetting architects, Chuck stood out as not only being very knowledgeable in his field, but also as having a keen eye for design. We found him to very easy-going and attentive to our wants and needs. He patiently revised drawings, he promptly responded to emails/phone calls and he was always available to answer questions or problem-solve. When a certain situation arose during the construction phase, Chuck was on-site immediately to work out a solution and to ensure that we were satisfied and comfortable with the solution. In other words, he met all of our expectations. We are very pleased with the look, feel and functionality of our newly renovated rooms. We are also very pleased that we selected Chuck to work with us on this project.

Chuck is a wonderful person to work with. He designed a large custom home with us 17 years ago and recently worked with us to design an addition and a basement renovation for our new home. We have recently worked with Chuck Mills on the interior and exterior renovation of our 1960's bungalow.
