About Us

As one of only a few classically trained licensed architects in the state of Utah, Clayton Vance Architecture can provide you with a design service unparalleled. Clayton received his Masters of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame where he studied Classical Architecture and Traditional Urbanism. He is intimately involved in all design phases of each project. Having worked in New Jersey, Virginia, Georgia, Indiana, and Utah, Clayton brings a breadth of experience to the design table. His aim is to achieve a timeless aesthetic while meeting contemporary design needs. Wow! We have had the privilege of working with Clayton over the past few months on an addition project. He has fantastic ideas and is so classically trained and aesthetics are second nature! He was patient and kind and helpful every step of the way. He gave great recommendations and advice throughout....even with all of my crazy ideas! I would highly recommend working with him. The best money spent building our new home was on Clayton Vance Architecture. Clayton is not only an excellent architect but a great communicator. He took time to listen to our needs, find creative solutions that fit our budget, finish our plans quickly, and most importantly, add architectural details that made it truly beautiful and unique. Clayton met with our builder to ensure every detail came together in the Greek Revival style we had chosen. He even visited our home late at night to correct interior trim details! His commitment to our project, professional manner, and special training in Classical Architecture really allowed us to get our house right!
