Wadia Associates
New York, NY Architects and Building Designers
September 13, 2016
Wadia Associated exceeded our expectations on all fronts. We designed, built, decorated our home and landscape design with Wadia associates. We appreciated them listening to all our thoughts and taking the time to understand what we value, what is most important to us and how our family functions to design and build the perfect home for us. The personal attention was something that we did not imagine or expect- they were there every step of the journey, The insights they gave us based on their wealth of experience proved to be a hugely beneficial from a cost perceptive as well making our home to be of exceptional value. Great service at a great cost is something that every client seeks and we are so pleased to have received that with them. We were able to design and build the house while having three children under 5 years old because we did not have to be concerned with the process. Wadia associates managed the project so well and seamlessly while staying within our budget and timeline. They were exactly on time, even with two terrible winters. We are beyond happy in our home and hope others can experience the joy of building with them.

They worked with me night and day to design My 4 bedroom 1 bath cape home into a beautiful 6 bedroom 3 baths Colonial Style home. I cannot be more pleased with the outcome, Great job on my Dormer! I recommend them to anyone looking to do these kinds of work on their home.
Ronnette Riley Architect
New York, NY Architects and Building Designers
July 22, 2014
It was a pleasure working with Ronnette Riley and her team. I had a budget in mind when first imagining the project. Ronnette was completely straightforward with me from the beginning about where my original budget and reality would soon diverge; as a result there were no financial surprises. She and here colleagues guided me through the design process, addressing the elements that I wanted and suggesting additional ways in which to achieve the overall atmosphere I had in mind. The space I purchased was dated and out of synch with the building’s iconic mid-century design by its internationally renowned architects; RRA guided its return to its architectural roots. With reconfigurations of door placements, a redesign of the kitchen and bathroom, and the creation of a wrap-around cantilevered bookcase, the space looks better and is far more functional. I also appreciated the fact that RRA handles all aspects of design, from its structure to the interior finishes. RRA helped me select through a wide variety of vendors mid-century furniture, window treatments, and rugs – assembled in a way that tied all of the spaces together. Having one firm handle the entire process was not only much easier to manage (relieving me of a lot of potential hassle), but it also resulted in a cohesive design. I am thrilled with my new home and I would recommend RRA to anyone.
Weil Friedman Architects
New York, NY Architects and Building Designers
November 11, 2013
I began working with Weil Friedman Architects (specifically, Barbara Friedman) in the Fall of 2012, when I purchased a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, approximately 1750 sq. foot apartment in my current building, anticipating my July marriage and the combination of two families of kids and animals. Time had stood still in the apartment since the 1960s, so this was a total renovation. New kitchen and baths, surfaces, all lighting throughout, built-ins, reconfiguration of the space. From the design and drawing stage, through construction and punch list, Weil Friedman Architects were the consummate professionals. Detail-oriented, never dropped the ball once, always available to answer questions, worked extremely well with the contractors. They are "soup to nuts" architects, participating in everything from choosing stone, fabrics, paint, flooring, cabinetry, and just the right appliances...you get an architect, project manager, designer, decorator, and "seeker and finder of the perfect polished nickel bullet hinge" all rolled into one. They are great to work with, offering ideas while listening to yours. The project finished right on schedule, and that was in no small part due to Weil Friedman's determination and midnight and weekend oil. Not only that, but we finished on budget. Amazing. I wish I had another apartment to renovate just so I can work with them again, and I tell anyone I know who is about to undertake a project, that they should talk to them.
Lichten Architects
New York, NY Architects and Building Designers
September 13, 2014
In November 2013 we bought a 2 bed, 2 1/2 bath pied a terre on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Although in a modern glass tower, the apartment was done up with fusty wallpaper, heavy draperies and antiques. Lichten Craig's remit was to create a sleek, clean and modern look for the whole apartment. They stripped the wallpaper and painted, and put up gorgeous bronze wallpaper in the powder room. Joan Craig suggested white leather and lacquer furniture, modern floor lamps, and shades provided by a Chicago vendor whom she flew in to NY. This saved us a good deal of money by not using a NYC shop. Ditto for the 4 Saarinen dining chairs they had another Chicago vendor knock off to go with our Knoll table. Huzzah Huzzah. I love the substantial two tier glass and chrome coffee table, and the piece de resistance of the apartment: a large living room rug that is precisely what I wanted: a striated rug of teals and turquoises that looks like a David Hockney pool. It was custom and came in on time and on budget, as did everything else. Also, I wanted bookshelves and could not find a bookcase I liked. Joan Craig recommended building them, something I was reluctant to do but, as this is the second apartment LC has done for us, I have a high confidence level in them and agreed. They are perfect for the space and we are thrilled. The staff at LC is tops: professional, friendly, and very responsive to calls and emails. Annelise Juettner in the Chicago office has dealt calmly and efficiently with a dragon lady at my building's management company re furniture deliveries. I would have given dragon lady Polonium 210. Because LC has offices in NY and Chicago, their resources are vast and they can source the best vendors for a project at the best price. LC is flexible and can work with many different budgets, adept at integrating inexpensive items and costly ones. And as budgets can sometimes change midstream, I appreciated LC's ability to adapt when our own budget for this pied a terre shrank. Joan Craig's expertise in architecture as well as design is an added plus. We belatedly wish we had used them as the architects of our pre war Chicago Lake Shore Drive coop. I heartily recommend this team.
XYZ PLANS
New York, NY Architects and Building Designers
March 22, 2014
I hired XYZ Plans to help me deal with my brownstone renovation in Park Slope. The scope of work included: installation of AC system, terrace door replacement, stoop metal railing repair and new stucco finish, garden pavilion upgrade with new roof waterproofing, new heating system, and new concrete floor. Since it was not a big project we minimized the drawings to minimum details and prepared an elaborate written description instead. I had a fixed budget that would not be able to include some of work. However, Michal Grabowski, the head of XYZ Plans, was able to find a local builder who did it all for the price. I really appreciated the way the construction process was handled, with customized contract, weekly meeting and meeting minutes, work quality verification and progress checking. It was always great to know that I can call anytime and have a reasonable person arbitrating between me and the contractor. Renovation is not a nice process when you cannot vacant the house but without XYZ Plans professional help it would have been much, much worse. I sure know whom to call when I will be renovating again. Marion

September 29, 2015
These guys are awesome! They came highly recommended and was worth every penny! I am a developer and Gallery Kitchen & Bath for my kitchen and bath work. They exceeded my expectations and even hired them to do more work around the house. Very knowledgeable crew and detail oriented. They really took the time and care to consult with me about everything, not just kitchens and baths. I recommend them for any developer or small personal use. I will be hiring them again! It is hard to find good quality work anywhere, Gallery Kitchens and Baths are my go to guys from now on.
Anjie Cho Architect PLLC
New York, NY Architects and Building Designers
August 27, 2013
We have dealt with Anjie Cho as a General Contractor on a lot of projects. Starting from very small renovation, to whole house projects. we can honestly say that she has been one of the best designers we have ever dealt with. Full attention to details. Not only the bathrooms, and kitchen looked beautiful, they all created a perfect flow throughout the whole house. Pleasure to work with. From Traditional, to contemporary, we have seen a lot of her work. Anjie is an amazing designer that takes the time to understand your style and create beautiful spaces. She has wonderful ideas and is very good at laying out and staying within a budget. We would definitely recommend Anjie to anyone who is looking to re-do their house or commercial space.
Delson or Sherman Architects pc
New York, NY Architects and Building Designers
August 24, 2012
We hired Delson or Sherman to remodel our loft in the West Village and I strongly recommend them. I was nervous about hiring them because I didn't have a friend's recommendation. Instead I had read a New York Times story about them and studied the photos on their website. I loved their taste and, being a reporter, I really cross-questioned their references. We liked both partners, Jeff Sherman and Perla Delson, and both worked on our initial design. They came up with several layouts and the one we chose works perfectly for us. We wound up working mostly with Jeff Sherman during construction and found him to be very easy to work with as well as professional, time efficient and good at on-the-spot problem solving. He also has a good sense of humor. I'm incredibly indecisive and it worked when he gave us three choices. If I couldn't decide I let him pick and that turned out well. Our co-op board had given us a five-month deadline for noisy work and there was going to be an alarming penalty of $300 a day if we exceeded that. We finished on time and within budget (after the things I added). I trusted Jeff's recommendation for a contractor and actually hired the contractor without meeting him, a serious leap of faith that also turned out remarkably well. The Delson or Sherman office system seemed very efficient. A very endearing draftsperson, Chisato, helped to lower the cost. Everything got filed on time and within the co-op's requirements (unlike some of the other projects I have since witnessed in our building). That's it. We are extremely happy with the way it turned out. Remarkably, there's not anything we would change and I would definitely hire them again. I wish I could add more pictures!
AMMOR Architecture LLP

September 18, 2012
Have you done a gut renovation of an apartment from 2500 miles away? We did. The single decision that made the project a success and got us our dream home was working with TUG studios. From concept drawings to choice of contractors to final completion, they were available and responsive. Tom and Goil heard everything we said we wanted for our 2200 sq ft. triplex apartment. They even figured out a lot that we did not say and translated all that into a coherent whole that met with all our many requirements, from fabulous kitchen to LOTS of counter space to flattering lighting plans and color schemes. Most importantly, while not compromising on quality, they paid attention to our budget. The challenge was to make a dark and chopped up apartment with small rooms into a modern airy space. TUG's designs made really radical changes in the floor plan, moving the living room and kitchen from the parlor floor to the second floor and putting two bedrooms and baths where the living room and kitchen had been. If we had to do any kind of design or remodel in future, I would not do it without TUG.
