We worked with Elke and Kjell from Red Sky construction on a full remodel of the main floor of our house. Elke created a beautiful, seamless design for our kitchen, living room, and entry. She also helped with our two small bathrooms and creating an additional bedroom for our growing family. Our home is a 1974 split level and is small, but Elke and Kjell (and team!) made it feel like a glamorous modern home. I couldn’t be happier. We had minor snags with the supply chain due to the pandemic and Elke went to bat to help keep our project on track. I would highly recommend Elke and Kjell!

She took the time to go through each and every fabric selection, textures, metal details and measurements to assure everything in our home went together and flowed perfectly. Elke and Coordinators Interior Design Group was fantastic to work with! We started with consulting on rental property and then moved on to a full remodel of our Master Bedroom and Bath. Elke has excellent taste and vision, her recommendations were insightful and perfect for our project. She is very knowledgeable about combining design, function, and aesthetics. There were minimal issues with our vendors and when things did happen, Elke did whatever needed to be done to get us back on track.

Working with Coordinators Interior Design Group was a delightful experience from beginning to end. They have an extensive library that helped us find beautiful materials within my budgeting range. With so many choices these days I needed help narrowing it down. I worked specifically with Elke and she was instrumental in making sure the new flooring and paint chosen for the remodel still worked well with existing features, like cabinets, countertops, fireplace and bathroom tile, that I was not replacing at this time. The paint contractors used were affordable and fast. Elke was on-site when the painters finished up to ensure they touched up places they missed and everything was in order before they left the worksite. The flooring contractor and installer she used were thorough, detail oriented, hard working and sensitive to my timeline. Elke was instrumental in communicating and coordinating with them to ensure continuity between the demo, new paint and install of flooring. She was very detail oriented and thoughtful during the whole process. I would not hesitate to recommend Elke for any project small or large. Her guidance and expertise was invaluable and my home looks amazing!

We hired Elke to design our kitchen remodel and the results were better than we’d dreamed. The remodel involved completely changing the layout of the kitchen and creating an open floor plan. She and her team suggested a fantastic idea of flipping the kitchen to the opposite wall and converting a window into a door to the back yard. It was a bold idea that we liked, implemented and now love. Elke saved us a lot of time and frustration throughout the remodel process by preselecting samples for us to choose from. Her sample selections were always beautiful and per our tastes. She was patient with making modifications here and there until we were satisfied. We trusted her judgement and design sense which reduced our anxiety and gave us confidence that our kitchen was going to be fabulous. Elke was always responsive via email, text and phone which was appreciated. She carefully coordinated the designs with the construction contractor (Kjell, Telemark Construction) and attended many of the contractor meetings. Our new kitchen is gorgeous and we are thrilled with the results. We admire it often. Our friends and family can't believe the remarkable transformation of the space! Working with Elke and her team at Coordinators Interior Design Group was very easy and fun.

I cannot say enough nice things about Elke and Kjell (our contractor). Elke is incredibly talented and is AMAZING at getting things done. Remodeling is a very stressful process and she was very helpful in guiding us through every step of the process. We replaced the fireplace, all of the flooring, the stairway, and tore out one wall in the kitchen. We finished the project on time and on budget! I would highly recommend Elke's services and would call on her again in the future without hesitation.

Elke G. Mazzeo, with Coordinators Interior Design Group, was an invaluable visionary for my small scale kitchen remodel. Elke designed the local gym that I attend, and I was so inspired by the rustic contemporary look that I contacted her to help change my own home! Not only does Elke manage commercial and high scale residential projects, she is also extremely down to earth and available to assist with any scale of remodel with genuine interest, but most importantly, with expert advice!

I searched Houzz about a year ago for a local interior designer. After reading everything for Anchorage, I "felt good" about CIDG, and in particular Elke so I gave them a call. Elke answered and we had an appointment in no time. My project was to remodel our 28 year old kitchen .... of course I had budgetary concerns but wanted the best quality and wanted to walk into my new kitchen and LOVE IT! Elke (designer) and Greg (architect) came over for the "get acquainted" visit. I was sold immediately. I consider myself frugal and rather conservative. The interview met all of my expectations; will I redesign for me or for resale of the house, what is my time frame, what are my tastes, how do we respect the present theme in the home, etc. etc. etc. Elke was my right hand person through the project; she knew when to suggest something, when to tell me what I would or wouldn't want when I couldn't decide and she would visit the site regularly. She has an excellent relationship with the contractor we used, deftly guided me in appliance purchases, went to bat for me with the lighting company, and communicated extremely well. She has a keen sense of what her customer wants and needs and is very aware that her customer comes first. She is cognizant of budget constraints, helps to manage keeping the project on track and pretty much owns the job. I could not be happier with her help and highly recommend her services.

Creative Kitchen Designs, Inc. has worked with both Peggy and Elke at Coordinators Interior Group on several projects over the year. We have really enjoyed collaborating with both designers because they have a great eye for composition, color and design right down to the smallest of details. Their customer service is exceptional not only to their clientele, but their sub-contractors as well. They are definitely a great team and provided nothing but the best for their clients.

I was very fortunate to get a recommendation to hire Elke Gustafson at Coordinator Interiors for an extensive first floor remodel of our outdated home that included the kitchen, den, breakfast nook, bathroom, laundry room and entryways from the garage and the front door. Elke looked at the original space and her imagination went to work to create a new and more modern design and layout. She asked me to share kitchen photos that I liked on Houzz to get a sense of what style appealed to me. She nurtured the project from beginning to end, making it progress without delays or problems, suggesting choices for the big items, fireplace, flooring, cabinets, lighting, but also thinking of the details, like the cabinet pulls. Elke’s enthusiasm for the project never waned. She kept me on track making the decisions that I needed to in order to have everything show up at the right time. She connected me with the other players that were involved in the project, including the kitchen designer and the contractor, lighting person, and granite shop. The contractor has a talented and reliable team and he and Elke work well together. He is a master of planning and carrying out this type of project. The cabinet layout was a bit tricky and the kitchen design firm came up with a fabulous solution. Elke was instrumental in bringing these others onto the project and they were key to getting it done on time and on budget without significant problems. Besides her incredible talent as a decorator, Elke is decisive, but not overbearing, organized, on time for appointments, and mindful of a budget. She made a special stop at the granite yard in Seattle for me while on a personal trip to select some slab choices. A decorator on a big project like this pays for itself in time and materials, and helps to avoid unwise choices and delays. Elke has an excellent eye for current materials and trends, and she made sure the choices worked with the rest of the house in color and style. I would use Elke and Coordinator Interiors again on any future remodeling, as well as the other players she brought to the project.

Elke was a great partner to the process of redesigning my kitchen. She was able to hear my needs and translate them into specific samples and ideas to meet my needs with regard to style, materials and concept. I am so pleased with my beautiful kitchen.
