After a sewer line break damaged my master bath, I decided to renovate the bathroom the way I always wanted it to be. The project blossomed from one bath to three and, through the recommendation of a family member, I found Sara and John to help. They were amazing from start to finish. They listened well to my vision and made it a reality. They found functional and creative solutions to every obstacle encountered. They added innovative touches I never would have thought of and watched my budget better than I did. They brought in a talented and charming construction crew for whom nothing was a problem and who I miss having around. I got two brilliant and talented architects and designers for the price of one. They were always available and delightful to work with. I hope I have another opportunity to do so.

DaCruz Segal are skilled architects and natural collaborators. As empty nesters, our requirements for a new house in Princeton, NJ was somewhat unconventional, but what distinguishes DaCruz Segal out from the plethora of similar service provider is their attention to detail, timeliness, efficiency – and the ability to get inside of our collective heads and pry out the unspoken thoughts. Those qualities took out much of the guesswork and contributed to the project running smoothly. As a homeowner for more than 30 years, I was also very impressed by DaCruz Segal’s level of thoughtfulness in communicating every detail to my wife and I. John DaCruz and Sara Segal worked in lock step with us, maintaining constant communications, making sure the ultimate result was exactly what we were striving to achieve. It should be noted and emphasized that both John and Sara always took the time to listen to us and explain how things should work. They always accommodated our busy schedule – routinely making time on Saturday mornings for project updates. With their architectural expertise and exceptional networking, they got the entire design process to go smoothly. Since we had a very limited budget, both Sara and John went extra miles to consider all options for savings (during the design and construction process) while still aiming for the goals we planned – without compromising the design styles. They both guided us in all phases of the build process (design, construction observation, supplier’s selection) and always made sure we got the best deals in supply/material purchases. They consulted with us on every single item that was purchased – right down to the door stop and its shape and color. It has been a pleasure to work with John and Sara on the design of our contemporary 2500 sq ft house in Princeton, NJ. Both John and Sara are exceptional architects/designer’s and both have a keen eye for exacting levels of detail. In addition to providing their vision, they always kept and augmented our original design ideas and provided a smooth pathway for what was possible and what was to come. There is no question that John and Sara were truly committed to our project and to its successful implementation. We feel very lucky to have worked with them.

We hired Sara for a home renovation project that included a major kitchen expansion and gut renovation of two bathrooms. We're delighted with the final results. Sara provided the overall design vision for the project while being very responsive to our family's needs and budget considerations. Sara designed the beautiful cabinets in the kitchen and the bathrooms, and referred us to a fantastic cabinetmaker. Both Sara and John worked closely with our general contractor to manage the construction process. They're truly a talented and professional team! We've gotten many rave comments from our friends and family who've come to visit. And, we're enjoying our home so much more after these improvements.

John and Sara delivered our renovation with finesse and professionalism, and demonstrated a high level of thoughtfulness in the design process to meet our criteria. We hired John DaCruz to renovate a 3 bedroom townhouse in Princeton, NJ. John did an excellent job of interpreting our ideas for the renovation into creative design modifications. The customer service that John provided was exceptional. We had a very tight schedule for the first phase of the project, and John met that schedule without compromise to detail and quality of design. We added a level of complication to the process by living on the west coast. John used creative ways to keep us involved in day-to-day decisions regarding design and construction issues. In addition to his design contribution, John served as our representative in the construction phase. He provided excellent direction to the contractor to ensure that the design decisions we made were accurately translated during the construction process. We would hire John again, and we strongly recommend him to others.

I was very satisfied with the work that Sara and John did in renovating my family home. The home is a unique, modern design and required a renovation that updated the house without losing the original design intent. Sara and John were able to do just that. The project included gut renovations of both bathrooms and the kitchen/dining/family room space. Sara and John worked very collaboratively with me throughout the project to make sure that I got what I wanted included in the design as well as construction.

Sara and John helped us renovate our 60 year old home in 2016. A beautiful house that much needed removal of wall paper from the 50's, restoration of wooden floors, fresh coat of paint across the board and the opening up of space in various parts of the house. The project took close to 4 months to complete and we are thrilled to see the results! Sara and John have been absolutely great in designing, planning and being involved in even the smallest of details. We are now looking forward to Phase 2 our of renovation where we gut out the kitchen and sun room and create a more modern equivalent. We highly recommend working with them - they make a great team and have an excellent network of contractors and partners in the local area.
