We did a complete home remodel including bringing a non permitted structure up to code. Electrical, plumbing, walls, foundation and other areas of construction were addressed. Peter’s “eye” on the little things put the perfect touch on the design of the house. He was available whenever you needed him for questions from the contractor, city inspectors or you personally. He put the consumer first in relation to needs and wants , but was also professionally honest and up front with his thoughts of the job. We would highly recommend Peter Danciart as an honest, diligent, and wonderful architect who has a keen eye for perfection.

As a self-employed creative I needed help getting together my plans for a detached building on our property that would act as both a photo studio and at-home office. Peter took my amateur sketches and offered genius recommendations—window width and placement to generate the most natural light, extended cement footings for a more dramatic sculptural design element, a unique roofline, detailed lap siding. Peter turned the daunting task of getting the plans approved by the San Luis Obispo City planning and permitting departments a breeze. He was there every step of the way guiding me with all of my questions and concerns. Throughout the building process he would periodically check in via email and do in-person site visits to make sure everything was on track and to offer helpful advice. I can't believe this studio is real—it's a dream come true! Thank you, Peter! I have already recommended your services and will continue to do so!

This was my first experience hiring an architect. Peter was excellent to work with. He was easy to communicate with and he was available when asked to meet in person. This was a major remodel project which included adding a master bathroom and doubling the size of the kitchen. The finished product based on his plans is awesome.

We came to Peter with some sketches and rudimentary 3D models of our project made in Google Sketchup. His modernist aesthetic and collaborative approach made him the perfect fit for our project and he took our rough idea for a back unit and workspace to a whole new level of sophisticated, polished design. He was instrumental in shepherding the project through the city planning and building permit approval processes and has been incredibly responsive and helpful throughout construction. I cannot recommend him enough!

We were planning a major kitchen and bath remodel in our 1930’s Spanish Revival. The remodel would include the removal of a load bearing wall, expansion of the space as well as 3 total bathroom remodels and the addition of a new ¾ bath. All of these areas would include complete tear down and gutting of the current space. We had an idea of what we were looking for, but working with Danciart Architecture really brought everything together. We worked with Peter who provided multiple drafts and a full set of plans for the remodel detailing everything we needed. He took the time via email, phone and in person to really inquire as to what we wanted and suggested ideas throughout the planning and development of the project. His experience provided the foresight and vision for many of the areas we simply did not consider. He was a pleasure to work with and a true professional. Peter went the extra mile in taking care of the plan check, oversight of the project and even helped us figure out budgeting and looking for a good contractor. He has a great eye and brought some very modern ideas to our home, while still keeping with the Spanish Revival theme we wanted to maintain. My wife was enthusiastically pushing for what seemed to me to be an impossible job. She wanted to remodel our house to add a Hobbit Hole. She wanted it to be an office that was both cozy and roomy. I through up my hands and suggested this conundrum could only be solved by an architect. This was our first time working with an architect and Peter Danciart did an excellent job in translating my wife's request into a doable project and in communicating his ideas to her despite her inability to visualize them from drawings. Peter is a local architect and affiliated with the AIA Central Coast Chapter (currently on the board of directors). He has a great taste in design and has many great projects under his belt. I was fortunate enough to receive a personal tour of his Salmon Residence project recently. After seeing what he had done with this project, my appreciation for residential architecture truly heightened. This home is definitely one of my top favorite buildings in San Luis Obispo. The details on this building are incredible, and the interior spaces are unique and ravishing. Besides his designs however, Peter is a really down to earth person and very easy to talk to. He is nice, charming, and very well knowledgeable in his trade. Working with him is always wonderful, and I would recommend him in a heartbeat.
