My wife and I worked with David and team to design our dream home 3 years prior to this review. We finished construction and have lived in our home for nearly 2 years now and could not be happier. David's Team is amazing to work with and it was a smooth experience from the initial meeting, to working together to finalize the design, and through the construction of the home. David really captured every detail that was presented to him and designed the home in a way that embodied the image that we had in our mind. Additionally, he leverages his expertise in providing additional features that we failed to mention but make the home better in every respect. There is not other team that we would ever use to design a home if we went through this process once again. We sincerely appreciate the effort and expertise that David and his team provided and would wholeheartedly recommend the team to anyone looking to design a home!

Would highly recommend DSD Architecture and Interior Design services to anyone looking to create a custom, modern house that is NOT cookie cutter. DSD took our notebook sketch and turned into a dream house that far surpassed our vision. They were colloborative, receptive to our feedback and changes, and most importantly, incredibly creative.

We have been working with David Small Designs to design our dream home using their signature 'natural modern' design language. We could not be happier with how the design has turned out both inside and outside and have thoroughly enjoyed the process thus far. They are clearly very good at what they do, which is architectural design, but they are also very communicative, punctual and professional. We have been working with DSD for nearly two years as we navigated a very challenging property that required multiple regulatory compliance and certifications. Dave gets directly involved and together with his team, the really do take input and ideas from the home owner, transferring them into achievable architecture that is attractive and livable. We had the pleasure of hiring David Small Designs on three occasions-- about ten years ago for a custom home build in Lorne Park; a second time for a sunroom addition; and just recently for a custom cottage design. All three experiences were wildly positive. Each time the designers demonstrated an impressive level of creativity and ingenuity when incorporating our wish list items. Their passion and enthusiasm for our projects were equally matched by their talent and skill. The project managers were responsive, attentive and compassionate. We hired David Small Designs (DSD) for a new custom home design. We were very pleased with the well thought-out design process and, of course, the beautiful design. However, what really left a special impression was dealing with a unique Variance complication at the Municipality. The DSD planner, David Brown, who worked with us took a calm but methodical approach to first convince the town planner and eventually the Committee that the Variance was simply a Zoning interpretation issue and should be approved (despite local opposition and very unfavorable precedence). Alas, we won, when I was convinced we would not - and it was, in no small part due to the dedicated work of the DSD planner.

We enjoyed working with everyone in the team. Everyone was very professional and everything was done in a timely manner. A very good job was done with achieving our wish list for our new home

An absolute pleasure to deal with DSD. The project is complex with a lot that has unique requirements and zoning. David and his team are excellent listeners and have delivered a design that is exactly us and fits the way we live perfectly.
