We hired Ginger Seminara to reconfigure the third floor of our home, to create two rooms from a larger one. Ginger spent an evening listening, taking measurements, reviewing options and then suggested a solution that required only that we change how we decorate. We were prepared to spend thousands and ended just moving furniture! It is a rare professional who will turn down work when there is a better solution for her customer. We can recommend De Biasse & Seminara’s professional skills and integrity without reservation.

We hired Virginia Seminara to design a new kitchen, mud room, family room, home office and powder room for our 60's-era ranch house. Much of the space was a renovation within our existing footprint. We moved entry doors, installed new windows, added a home office (the only extension of the footprint), vaulted the family room ceiling, and created space for a fabulous new kitchen island and banquette. Through it all, Virginia listened well, guided us toward excellent choices, and was wonderfully drama-free. Her design solved many problems we'd had before (no powder room or mudroom for our family of 5), and greatly improved the existing spaces, both functionally and aesthetically. The renovation was so seamless, we can barely remember life "before." Virginia did a fantastic job and was a genuine pleasure to work with. We highly recommend her!

Virginia was the most responsive, knowledgable, professional, personable person I have worked with. She was also very meticulous on our somewhat tricky double residential stair reversal project. I am a Professional Civil Engineer and I am most impressed with the results.

We hired Michael De Biasse to design a family room/kitchen renovation based on the recommendation of friends who had used the firm and were extremely pleased with the whole process as well as the outcome. Michael listened carefully to our needs and how we wanted to use the space, provided several creative designs of various budgets, listened to and incorporated our feedback and then managed the bidding process with the contractors. He also oversaw the construction process to ensure that the contractor was staying on budget and delivering on the plan and work through a few budget/completion issues so that I didn't need to get involved. Along the way, he provided design advice and shared experiences that helped us make better decisions and was always available for consultation if there was an issue on site. In addition, he respected my desire to repurpose/reuse elements of the existing house that needed to be moved and built it into the design. We have had 4 renovations of various parts of our house during the 20 years we have lived here and this was by far the smoothest and easiest. We are thrilled with the new space and have received many compliments on the design.

Virginia Seminara came highly recommended to me by a trusted friend, so I was looking forward to a good experience. I was very pleased at the way Virginia understood my project, listened to my needs, showed up to my house almost immediately. We weren't able to do all the building we planned but everything she did was first rate and beautiful. She understands older homes as well as modern construction and materials and how to cut cost with beautiful alternatives.

We worked with Mike on the plans for the extension to our home. It was a learning experience for my wife and myself, but we found the design process valuable and interesting. They were receptive to our ideas, while helping point out where things didn't make sense. We took some of their ideas and thoughts and incorporated them into the final design.

Commented: Mudroom Design DilemmaIs that the back side of drywall? Least expensive thing to do is prime and paint black if the windows still operate. You could consider a glazing film. The mirrors are a good idea as well.
