DeMotte Architects is an architectural firm practicing since 1990, specializing in all aspects of residential design, mainly in Fairfield County CT, Westchester County NY, and surrounding areas. Our work ranges from custom homes, additions & whole house remodels, all done in a wide range of styles. ABOUT THE OWNER BRAD DEMOTTE Owner Brad DeMotte has been practicing architecture almost exclusively with a focus on residential design, which he developed a passion for and which is apparent in the enthusiasm he brings to each and every project. He always strives to produce excellent work and provides outstanding service, and is known for creating homes and spaces of simplicity, grace & beauty, not being limited to a single style. By carefully listening to his clients' needs and dreams & drawing on his own experience and a well-honed sense of scale and proportion, Brad creates stylish, elegant spaces which often exceed his clients' expectations. This often requires filtering through conflicting issues, reading between the lines and interpreting the clients’ preferences, which requires excellent problem solving skills and makes for a very personal process with clients. Even the smallest of projects receive the same personal attention to detail, as Brad is intimately involved in each and every project. We had the pleasure of working with Brad DeMotte on our home construction project. Brad was extremely organized and very professional. He was very responsive in person, through email and telephone calls. Brad worked very diligently to keep the plans within our budget but was also helpful in making suggestions that we would not have considered. While our project has not started yet, we are very confident that because of Brad's detailed plans, the project will be very successful.

My husband and I hired Brad to help us design plans for the renovation of our kitchen, master bath, powder room, family room and the addition of an outdoor stone terrace. It was a pretty large project with many details. Brad was great to work with and very professional. He was always extremely responsive to our phone calls and emails and his drawings were very detailed and well thought out. He also helped us by providing us with a format for comparing the bids and recommending experienced professionals for the job. We are two months into the construction process at this time and the details included in Brads plans have been very helpful.

Brad was a delight to work with. We had tornado damage to 20% of our house. We are in the commercial real estate business, and work with other architects in NY. The project started in the middle of 2018. Brad gave us projected costs for the project Brad has a delightful personality and understood our needs. He guided our decision to expand the house instead of replacing the damage. We made numberous changes inside and outside, and he was always willing to help with these changes in a very pleasant way. He never rushed us. We found Brad well organized. He maintained check lists, so that we able to go back to check off all open items. We had to obtain several approvals, since we live on a lake, including a board of zoning approval. Brad made these applications and represented us at the hearing and obtained all approvals. Brad sent out plans for bid to builders he worked with. At our request he prepared bid forms with details required for each trade. he set deadlines for the bids, which are due shortly. We anticipate that Brad will be reviewing the bids with us and help us with choosing the builder. We would unhesitatingly recommend Brad to anyone looking for a qualified architect with a wonderful disposition. We found Brad's fees fare. I've been a builder in Fairfield County since 1990. I've dealt with a lot of architects and designers in my day, but nobody has come close to the professionalism of Brad DeMott and his team. Ive been hesitant to get back into the spec building aspect of our profession after losing a lot in the 2008 financial collapse. After securing a project and the financial backing I sought out the right team to move forward with a spec renovation in Riverside, CT. I met Brad on another job site that I was dealing with for a client. After several meetings I decided Brad was the right choice for our new project. I have not regretted that choice. Brad was prompt, courteous and a good listener. He addressed many challenging issues with a positive attitude and a creative eye. He responded right away when I had a concern. He was instrumental in getting a zoning variance and special exception for an accessory structure through the difficult Greenwich Building and Zoning Departments. I look forward to working with Brad on future projects.

We met Brad through our contractor, Damian Amodeo, and have been very happy with his work, professionalism and exquisite taste in design. He has had several great ideas and thoughts a long the way that have made our project one that will function but also be visually stunning. Having an architect's hand in a project really is the key to its success. We never felt pushed or pressured but simply aided in the design process. Brad also got our drawings done much faster than normal because we were in a time crunch to beat the winter frost for laying the foundation. We highly recommend Brad and so glad to have met him!

I've worked with many architects in 20 years and Brad has far exceeded my expectations. He is prompt, reliable, a great problem solver. Brad sincerely cares about EVERY project as if it were his own home. Seems no matter what I throw at him he doesn't miss a step either in details or time frame. His vision for projects and ability to listen to the client's needs is refreshing in an industry of people who don't seem to care enough. I thoroughly enjoy working with Brad and his team on their projects. Brad has a true knack for seamlessly integrating his additions so much so that when the projects are completed you would never suspect the extent to which the homes have been renovated or enlarged. As a builder I can attest to the level of detail in their drawings and the care in which they work through the details. Brad and his team produce a top notch set of construction drawings and they are readily available during construction to walk and work through any questions or design decisions that arise during construction. Brad was also very knowledgeable of local building regulations and how to obtain the necessary permits. Everything was done on a timely basis and within his original proposal.
