About Us

Dennis Brady Architect is a New Orleans based architecture firm with extensive international experience and a strong commitment to Louisiana and the Gulf South. Over the past 35 years of independent practice, Dennis has maintained offices in New Orleans with interludes in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Tunisia. Dennis Brady Associates is a full service architecture firm specializing in Historic Renovations as well as Contemporary Residential and Commercial Buildings. Prior to independent practice, Dennis worked in the office of Norman Foster (London), The Architect's Collaborative (Cambridge) and Perez Associated (New Orleans), where he was involved in planning the 1984 World's Fair. Dennis holds a Masters of Architecture from MIT, following a stint in the Peace Corps and an undergraduate degree from LSU.

I worked with Dennis on a whole house renovation and expansion. He helped take an older home on a larger lot and transform it into a large updated home built for a very active family. He also designed our guest home and the flow and design between the two homes.

I purchased my first house in the historic neighborhood of the Irish Channel in New Orleans in 2009. It was my goal to maintain the historic charm and integrity of this 75-80 year old structure. Dennis was extremely knowledgeable about the architectural detail that related to the specific age of my house, and I was impressed with his accuracy and precision about various codes and ordinances that related to my historic home. I was so impressed with his professional demeanor, as well as his punctuality to meetings to discuss the short-term and long-range goals of my renovation project. I highly recommend Dennis, a lifelong, true New Orleanian to anyone who is looking to build a new house or renovate an existing residence.

We did a complete renovation of a 120 year old house in New Orleans, the type of project that delivers surprises along the way. Mr. Brady showed good attention to detail and all new work fit well with the historical proportions of the house. When we encountered unexpected decisions or problems along the way, he could quickly see and describe the solution that turned out very well.

Dennis completed an interior project on our home and did a terrific job. He was prompt, reasonably priced, presented us with a clear and detailed outline/blueprint and completed the work right on time. When presented with our initial goals and ideas Dennis was kind, professional had a nice way of suggesting some improvements to our initial concepts. I would certainly recommend him to others.
