We were introduced to Bozurka by a friend who also worked with her on a remodel. Bozurka was a pleasure to work with on what ended up becoming a whole house remodel. She did a great job of listening to what we wanted the house to be and then bringing her expertise to make some fantastic recommendations. She was able to extract from our discussion and some pictures the style we liked, and weren't even aware was "our style" - the result has been a house that feels like "us" that give us all the amenities we've wanted for years. For example, we originally hadn't planned on moving our fireplace, and at the time it seemed like a crazy recommendation! But after some great discussion Bozurka gave us a layout that has made our main floor stunning and is perfect for our lifestyle. Bozurka was an excellent communicator, her network of contacts helped us get through a complicated permitting process and she provided us with fantastic plans and design details that had enough information that we didn't have to call her for every little question. I would highly recommend Bozurka to anyone planning a remodel (and do!)

Working with Bozurka was pleasant and easy. She listened to my wishes and transformed them into my beautiful condo. Without a doubt it was the most liveable, pleasant, and gorgeous unit in the building. When I sold it 5 years later I recouped my entire remodel investment and more.

We hired Bozurka Morrison of Design Ark Inc to help us with all aspects of a major kitchen and family room remodel project. Bozurka is both an architect and decorator/designer so we had the best of both worlds working with her. She communicated well and listened closely to our needs and was sensitive to our budget constraints. Her architectural drawings were excellent. She worked with our contractor and subcontractors whenever needed. She helped us select all materials (cabinets, hardwood floors, appliances, light fixtures, countertops, tile, paint colors, window treatments, furniture, etc.) Bozurka is professional, practical, creative, caring and attentive to detail. We loved working with her! Several years ago, Bozurka also helped us with a major bathroom remodel and we were so pleased with her services that we contacted here again to help us with our recent kitchen and family room remodel project. We highly recommend her services!

We felt our experience with Bozurka Morrison was very positive. Our situation involved a remodel on an existing home. We, at first, thought she was a bit on the expensive side, but after working with her we felt she was well worth the fee. After dealing with Architects in the past, she was a delight to work with. She has a lot of expertise to bring to the table, she really delivered, was quick to respond and very professional. We felt she listened to us as home owners, but also had great, practical ideas to bring to the table. She would point out the impact on expense and design before we proceeded, but gave us the final say. She made it a favorable experience and we would use her services again!

We collaborated with Bozurka Morrison and Design Ark on a complete home renovation that included both interior and exterior work. Our crew acted as project managers and general contractors, while Bozurka provided design service. From the initial contact with her it was clear that she is extremely professional and knowledgeable in her field. The project lasted eight weeks during which period it was proven that she was capable to provide high quality work in timely manner. In addition to the production of drawings, her familiarity in practicalities such as materials and suppliers proved to us she is an experienced and very qualified designer. In short- highly ranked professional. This renovation project was specific in the sense that Bozurka was working remotely from Kirkland, WA, while we were on the job site in Vancouver BC. This situation has not been an issue as her communication, drawings and work was always prompt and extremely clear. Our project was large and had a tight deadline. As such, every moment was crucial and everyone’s work had to be on time in order to keep the agreed timeline. We are grateful for Bozurka’s swift action in all her work and decisions. This type of team work and professional aptitude is a key in producing a high level of customer service and delivering top notch end product. As a professional managing this project I’d like personally to thank Bozurka for providing us with great design and team work. Looking forward to work together again. Bozurka Morrison designed the renovation and expansion of our home's kitchen and family room. This was a complete remodel including structural modifications to load bearing walls. She worked closely with us as we explored various design alternatives and then later during material selection. Bozurka was very attentive to details and carefully incorporated our requirements into the design. We were very happy with her work and would not hesitate to hire her again.

Bozurka helped us with a complete remodel of our dream home. After years of living in a house on a large beautifully landscaped lot, we realized that we’d really rather trade our traditional Bridal Trails home for a light and bright contemporary one. We found the perfect spot, with warm southern exposure, fantastic lake and mountain views and a fairly new, but in many ways already a rather outdated house. Tall ceilings and plenty of windows were a plus, as was a kitchen with a nook facing south towards the views. But, we needed a complete makeover, especially of the main living areas in order to reach that perfect life in the light, which we started to miss so much after over a decade of living in the Pacific North West. To meet both, our functional and aesthetic needs, the kitchen cabinets, lighting and plumbing fictures, fireplace, and all the finishes had to be replaced and the functional layout revisited. This is where Bozurka stepped in. Fastforward to the end: The kitchen’s island’s shape, position and size were updated, cabinets were redesigned, rebuilt and some replaced by long beautiful shelves for easy access and light, contemporary feel. The backsplash that reflects the lake gives an illusion of the lake covering the entire three walls. The crisp and simple color scheme was chosen, including dark floors, creating the space seemingly double in size from before and embracing the views as if the views themselves were built around the kitchen. The living room was transformed with long horizontal lines in between which a horizontal fireplace is sitting now, with windows bringing in the light from east and south. Not wanting to leave any detail suboptimal, Bozurka also helped us with furniture selection, helping us create a contemporary but comfortable space with plenty of seating and room for entertainment in what feels like a very open, large, uncluttered space that again draws one’s eyes towards the views. Perfect. Hard to imagine than anyone would have done it better than Bozurka. The process itself was nothing less than what we were hoping for. A learning experience for us, attention to detail from both Bozurka and us, willingness to keep an open mind, redesign if necessary. But what was most important, Bozurka stuck to her guns when she knew she was better equipped to make the right decisions. She let us sleep on some decisions, patiently explained design principles as well as practical considerations till we saw her way. But she was certainly not rigid – she listed patiently and was ready to go back to the drawing board when she understood where our views differed. We felt that we could completely trust her, and can be completely open about what we like or not, and that in the end, we will have our perfect home. And that is what we got. If what is wanted is thoughtful, careful, optimization of any space, from the big strokes and general feel, to the minute details of design Bozurka is probably one of the best designers and architects one could hire. We truly enjoyed our collaboration.

We hired Bozurka to design a major renovation of our home. Our project involved moving and expanding our kitchen, relocating our stairs and front door, adding a half bath and a laundry room, plus a complete redo of 3 bedrooms, a family room, and our main living space. We had a lot of items on our wish list but no real idea of where to start. She listened to what we wanted and what we needed, she gave great advice on things we hadn't even thought of, and in the end came up with a plan that was more beautiful and functional than I could ever have imagined. We added no square footage but Bozurka's plan drastically improved the flow of our entire space. It feels much bigger than it really is. And our kitchen is amazing - thoughtfully laid out and a joy to cook in. I love the home Bozurka designed for us and highly recommend her!

I found Bozurka very easy to work with, and know that my kitchen remodel came out much better with her help. Bozurka was always very professional, respectful, timely, and responsive to my comments, plus she is very creative, experienced, and careful with details. I am so happy with my new kitchen largely because of her, because she came up with ideas and combinations of materials that I would never have come up with by myself. She used the existing medium-sized poorly designed kitchen to create a much more functional and elegant room with more storage, preparation surface area, and places to sit. Loved the experience working with Design Ark. I hired them for a large renovation of my house. Complete re-design of the main floor, new kitchen, bathroom and deck. Bozurka, the main architect/designer is exactly what you want from somebody you chose to partner with in creating your dream home. Creative with a strong vision, but responsive to your guidance, focused on quality but understanding budget and time constraints, flexible but with unwavering commitment to excellence.....will chose them for my next project for sure.

Bozurka is an outstanding interior designer. She designed the layout and décor for my 18,000 square foot showroom. The scope of her work included the overall showroom design as well as several vignettes including kitchens, bathrooms, dining room, family room, outdoor area, bedroom, and game room. She designs beautifully unique cabinet, backsplash, and flooring layouts which are geared to the specific tastes of the client. Her color and furnishing choices are ideal. As a result of her expertise, we receive many compliments on our showroom. I have referred many of my clients to her and will continue to use her services moving forward.
