I hired Domain Design to provide consultative services for my recent basement renovation project. Dominique did an amazing job helping me select the perfect paint color, furniture and accessories - all within my budget and timeline. She's very creative, unique, and can truly work with any style and/or budget needs. I highly recommend Domain Design!

We have worked with Dominique Marsden for over a year beginning with our new home construction – helping us choose all our options - granite, tile, hardwood flooring, carpet, lighting, fixtures, etc. We sold or gave away most everything from our previous house so we had a mostly blank slate to work with. We had seen Dominique’s work and thought she was one of the best interior designers – her taste is exquisite! After moving in, Dominique helped with all aspects of decorating our home – designing room layouts, changing out light fixtures, selecting furniture, picking paint colors, finding decorative accessories including lamps, bedding, plants, pillows, vases, artwork, and more. Working with our budget, Dominique found unique statement pieces that complemented furniture from local stores; she designed custom pieces and arranged for production and delivery; she researched and hired quality vendors for electrical services, carpentry, custom drapes, etc. Best of all, Dominique would show up when things were close to being done in a room and surprise us with all the final touches to make each room perfect! Everyone who comes in our home remarks on the beautiful things Dominique has brought to our home – the reclaimed wood wall we had done in our living room, the bubbles light fixture in our stairway, the fabulous custom coffee table in our den, … the list goes on. Dominique and her amazing husband, Ryan, personally created special touches throughout our home – a gallery wall of our son’s photographs, a modern wine stack wall in our basement, a work of art in our dining room, and 12-foot potted plants in our sun room. We started down the path with Dominique because we had wanted an entirely new look … something edgy and cool and at the same time something we would not grow tired of … so we turned over the decorating to Dominique from top to bottom. She has delivered a home that feels like something we would never have done ourselves and yet it feels like us! There are pieces in our home that my husband initially called “weird” but they have grown on him. Recently, we started our deck and outdoor pavilion project, and he said, “Let’s get Dominique’s opinion on it.” We both really trust her judgment … Dominique knows us, and she knows how to find the things we will love. As a couple, we are as different as two people can be – and it’s really a testimony to Dominique that she has created a home that we both love! On a final personal note, Dominique brings passion, creativity and joy to her work. She and her husband, Ryan, have made this adventure exciting and fun for us. We cannot thank her enough for the love and attention to detail that she has brought to our home. We will be friends for life!

Dominique provided design and staging services for a $7M (20,000 SF) listing we had in Mclean, VA. The house was unique and needed a specific "out of the box" touch, that Dominique provided with ease. Her creativity and eye for design exceeded our expectations. Her professionalism and experience enabled us to bring the property to life and stay within our budget. A definite win-win. I would recommend her without reservation.

Commented: Coffee table? The is a concrete coffee table from West Elm. The wood stump end tables were custom made from furniture store, however you can find these vendors online (e.g. Etsy).
