This is the third time we've worked with Mark, and every time he delivers on our vision and needs. I'm amazed at he was able to rework our space. We were pretty convinced we would need to add additional square footage, but he was able to utilize our existing square footage to meet our needs. The functionality of our home is 10 times better and it finally feels like it works for us. We can't thank Mark enough for listening to us and being so patient and thoughtful throughout the process.

Mark did an outstanding job help us plan a complicated renovation. He took time to listen to us and what we wanted to do and made great suggestions for us to choose from. We are soooooo, so very happy with the new spaces he helped us make. The space in the kitchen is absolutely amazing, and this time of year, we are out on the porch all the time. Opening up the porch feels like we added an extra room to the house.

I give Mark my highest compliments and my sincere appreciation for the design work he did on a major house renovation. The project required walls to be both moved and removed. All electrical, plumbing, heat and air were removed and replaced. The house was gutted and rebuilt. I had drawn up draft plans for the renovation. Mark discussed the various pros and cons of my ideas and made well thought out suggestions. He was able to redesign various rooms so existing windows were able to be used and still appear to be in the ideal locations. His suggestion related to the location of the elevator was a much improvement from my original drawings. Mark was recommended by my contractor, due to how well the contractor had been able to work with Mark in the past. I saw why the contractor feels this way. The plans and drawings were clear and precise as to what was to be removed and what to be replaced. Mark responded at once to questions that I or the contractor had. I am completely satisfied with both his and the contractor’s work. It was a pleasure working with both of them. I expect Mark to be new long-term friend.

Mark was wonderful to work with through the whole process. We were planning to add a bedroom to the second floor of our home and had no idea what kind of space we had to work with. Mark met with us, measured the entire house, and had some fantastic ideas about how to divide the space available. He created plans that were incredibly detailed. It made finding a contractor and getting an accurate quote much easier. We would definitely recommend him to anyone who is considering remodeling or designing their home. Mark was just a really great guy to work with!

My wife and I recently completed a 2 year renovation of our downtown Greenville home. We could not be happier with this "down-to-the studs" remodel. Upon completion we realized one of the most important decisions we made was selecting Dullea and Associates to redesign and add onto the existing space. We almost missed out using Dullea and Associates because when we initially met with Mark, he was very upfront and honest about his timetable and told us that with his current backlog he could not start on our project for a few months. We decided to wait and use Dullea and Associates when my general contractor commented, "We like to work with Mark, his designs can easily be built, nothing in the design is left up for interpretation". Mark's designs were very thorough. He was very creative in converting an attic into an 800 sq ft master suite. He designed a space that was very open, and light filled. He changed the floor plan on the main level which resulted in better flow and optimization of every inch of space. If you're looking for someone to design your dream home, my advice is to do what we did, choose Dullea and Associates. Gene White

Mark has drawn up designs for us for two additions onto our home, and we have been so pleased both times. The thing we like most about him is that, unlike other designers we spoke with, Mark genuinely was interested in what we wanted our spaces to look like and how we wanted to use them. He didn't try to force any preconceived notions of his own us. He offered design ideas only after asking us many questions about what we visualized, our budget, and our general home aesthetic. Hence, his suggestions felt personalized to us, not hot market trends or fads. Additionally, Mark came up with many creative solutions to space challenges that we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. We have a beautiful screened-in porch and master bedroom suite that let us enjoy the sight of our beautiful trees and have the exact kinds of lounging spaces we dreamed of. Mark was very attentive to details and always willing to answer our numerous questions. Mark had to interact a fair bit with our contractors and was a great team player there, too. We highly recommend Mark!

After experiencing a fire that destroyed our house, Mark was instrumental in getting it back to us. His attention to detail was highlighted by his background in construction, and this knowledge base allowed the execution of his plans to go seamlessly. The recommendations he made for a new layout have truly changed the way we experience our house (for the better!) so that we can enjoy it as our “forever” home. Dullea and Associates was recommended to us from several of their past customers in addition to a few contractors we spoke with. Throughout the process, Mark was excellent to work with and greatly assisted us in bringing our rough ideas to life. He not only provided us a layout that fulfilled our highest hopes, but he was also extremely helpful with the organization of the new kitchen cabinets and drawers. He worked closely with our general contractor to ensure the details were understood and delivered. We have now been in the house for a while, and we continue to be extremely pleased with the final result. This was our first, and hopefully last, significant remodel. Mark was wonderful to work with. He turned our ideas into our dream home. Our project was a complete remodel of a 2 level home built in 1941. Mark did an excellent job designing the space with budget and maybe more importantly, functionality in mind. We have been in our home for 4 months and have yet to have that “we wish would have done this differently” moment. Mark produced exceptionally accurate and concise drawings which expedites construction and minimizes costly confusion for builders. We cannot say enough great things about Mark Dullea. My husband and I have known Mark for years personally, but professionally knew several friends that had used him and raved about him. When we first reached out we were in a major time crunch and wanted to do renovations on a house we were buying, but hadn’t closed on yet....so we had limited time to show him the house and get measurements etc. It was not an ideal situation. Mark made it seem so easy. He was always on time and worked around our schedule as well as that of the current homeowners. He listened to our ideas and made suggestions and came up with the most amazing plans! He had ideas we never considered that made all the difference! He met with us before he started the drawings to understand better the small details that would help him come up with the perfect drawings for our family. Somehow he did all of this within our crazy time crunch and worked seamlessly with the city so that it all came together perfectly. He exceeded our expectations and we LOVE the design! He is also the easiest person in the world to work with.

Mark did an excellent job designing a full renovation and addition for our 100 year old craftsman home. Given the age of the house, Mark negotiated numerous challenges and designed a renovation that honored its history and character, but also met our goals and made it more livable for a growing family. Mark had a great relationship with our contractor, and his ability to understand the practical concerns of the construction process, and to communicate effectively with the construction team, saved us significant time and money. Mark was highly recommended by several friends and we now understand why. We used him for a major home renovation project and he had an amazing vision for the space. He spent a lot of time listening to us and discussing the project in advance to understand how we could best live in the house. As a result, we made very few revisions to his original plans. I thought I knew how I would design the space, but Mark took our ideas to the next level and we couldn't be happier with the results.
