I have been a Realtor in The Vail Valley for nearly 36 years and in the Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate office in Bachelor Gulch Village since 1999. Don Eggers, Eggers Architecture has been the architect for several of the homes in Bachelor Gulch including some built for my real estate clients. Don has created some exceptional homes which I have had the distinct pleasure to see and in some cases to assist in selling for my clients or to assist clients in purchasing. Don is a true professional and his humble, confident manner provides buyers and sellers the confidence that they need in creating in most cases their dream vacation home. The property which stands out in my memory is a property which Don designed for a local speculative builder and which I had the good fortune to be the listing broker. Throughout the process, Don was very generous with his time for Realtors and clients and always was seeking feedback.

I have worked with Eggers Architecture on a handful of remodels and new construction over the years. The projects were developer driven. Very good builder set of drawings, worked specifically with Don on all projects. Available by phone and e-mail for questions. Quick to respond to questions. I did not have the opportunity to have many weekly site meetings with Eggers Architecture as Construction Administration was not a priority for the developer. Don did a great job keeping in touch with the project and went above and beyond to see the project was successful. We have referred Eggers Architecture on several occasions to clients.

I met Don thru one of his previous projects we hired him to customize the home he had drawn to our requirements. it was a very complicated re draft which he excelled in. Our expectations . The home came out very unique and has received many aka lads from our community . He was very easy to work with and listened to our request with the utmost in detail.. I have been a contractor for over 40 years and have dealt with many architects and Don is among one of the best I have enjoyed working with.

Don Eggers is a very fine and talented architect. He also has excellent time management skills and is very responsive to a clients' needs and worked well with our interior design firm to make a wonderful final project. I have worked with Don on my house and barn. On both projects I found Don to be very responsive and have the ability to offer many interesting design choices. For my home, Don made me much more comfortable with the construction process by monitoring the progress and quality while I was out of town. One day I visited the construction site and decided I was not happy with one aspects of the house. Don responded immediately and came to the construction site where he agreed. The next day he had updated plans ready for construction. Don's knowledge of designing structures to survive the harsh mountain environment is exceptional. Throughout the design process, he was able to provide recommendations that were cost effective, functional and attractive features of the house and barn. I believe he can deliver the most optimal functional and esthetic design for any given budget. Dons character is friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, responsive, creative and intelligent. All of which make him an excellent choice for your architectural needs.

On our new home in Grand County, Don was and is always very attentive, professional and creative...all the characteristics we were looking for. On the Arnold timber frame custom home in Silverthorne, Colorado that we built in 2010, Don was there when needed, and did a superb job in acting as liasion between the timber frame manufacturer and the contractor, ironing out issues and manufacturing problems resulting in a smooth construction experience in what could have been disastrous, One of Don's qualities worth mentioning is that he is flexible whereas if the homeowner or builder wishes to make changes to the home while in the drawing stages or while under construction, he readily complies and works with the individua(s)l to help realize the changes if possible. In other words, unlike some architects we have worked with in the past who are inflexible and whose ideas are set in stone, Mr. Egger will take the ideas and wishes of the parties involved and work with them. I would highly recommend Don for anyone interested in designing and building their new home or in any remodel and/or addition that they may be planning.
